You can cut the price in half this way, and end up with a higher quality machine. This is just not possible with a MAC. Of course it only follows that it is far easier to upgrade a PC for the same reason.

That is why I go with mac laptops, the above isn't possible with laptops period.

Posted: Sun Jul 01, 2007 8:56 amAgain, it all depends on what you want to do. If you're a graphic artist, or a video/sound editor, chances are you'll be wanting a Mac. If you want an awesome machine that will play Half Life 2 on high, then you'll be wanting a good PC.

A good macbook with 2gb of ram a fast processor and 80gb harddrive is only like 2-300 more than a pc one and it operates way better.

This is a 5+ year out of date viewpoint in the mac/pc debate. The components inside the machines are basically the same, macs now run on intel chips for example, and the Mac OS is basically a fancy skin on Unix. The bottom line is that ten years ago if you wanted to do graphics processing or sequence music you used a mac because the chips were superior in that field, now it makes not the slightest difference at all.
If you want your computer to look nice on your desk, have some trendy branding, maybe come in white with rounded corners that match your pseudo-cool heavy framed glasses then the Mac is for you. Otherwise save your cash and get a computer that has more than one mouse button!
