Cool Free-ware - download youtube videos

This is a thread where you can post some cool, interesting and useful freeware :D

I have found a way to download youtube videos for FREE! It's really cool, and here's how:

Mac User
Just download this little piece of software here. It's really useful, and automatically converts the .flv file into one that is compatible with iTunes and your iPod.

Other Way
Just download the Firefox addon here. Then, go to your youtube video, and click the new icon (looks like a movie film and floppy disk), and follow the instructions it gives you. If you don't have a program that can run .flv files (which you have to save it as) you can download a player/converter/both here or here.

Now, feel free to post some freeware you've found :D

PS this is my 7000th post…

The second method will also work for google video, ect. I'm going to try it for the mac method on google video soon. I imagine it will work though.

EDIT: TubeTV works fine for google video :D

Ya, I just discovered it. I doubt that it would download it in the format I want it in though.

I believe it downloads in mpeg... which you can import into itunes and it will convert it to .mp4...ipod format.

They both have gotten bad reviews in the comments, and it wants me to pay 5 bucks for it.

diddle, I'll look around a bit more.

I've had them both they are really convenient, they will even sync the videos on to your ipod if you so desire.

I haven't payed a penny for it.

edit: the mac one charges, the pc one which is as good as ever doesn't.
