... in any country except for the one you're living in now, which would it be?

Me - Netherlands or Republic of Ireland. Push me and I'd probably plump for Ireland.

I haven't really thought about that question, but it might be Switzerland, Canada, Norway, Sweden, or Netherlands..

If I was set up financially for life, then Espana. I wouldn't learn a word of Spanish or anything, and I'd expect the locals to speak to me in English, if it were felt necessary for them communicate with me at all.

I'd keep to my "own", read the Sun or Daily Mail, only eat curry, fish and chips and lasagna - none of that foreign Spanish muck - and leave comments on the BBC News messageboards moaning about the amount of immigration into Britain.

Bliss.

Is that your Utopia?

Definitely Spain--Canary Islands, specifically... probably La Palma, but maybe Gran Canaria.

It's actually my plan to retire to the Canary Islands 50 or 60 years from now. But if I was offered a job there... you betcha!, in a heartbeat!, today!

Utopia? No, I said Spain, not Italy.

Haha, of course I was. Who on Earth would ever eat curry in such a hot climate?!

Australia, it would be great to live in backwards world, do your toilets flush the other way?

Andorra would be nice though, imagine, you don't have to be good at football to get into their international team, then you could boast saying, "I'm an international footballer" 8)

I'm not sure whether it was a Simpsons joke or it is actually true.

Mostly they flush straight down in austrailia same as france because they are low flush units. They also usually have two flush rates depending on what you left behind. You would select the low flush or the high flush. The direction a toilet flushes is not naturally occuring it's due to the direction of the little holes forcing the water into a swirl.

I forgot to check but sinks and tubs are supposed to swirl the other direction while they drain.

If I had the funds I would get an airplane and move around.

If I have to work I would most likely stay here. It's not as good as it was but Canada is still a better place wages to cost of living than most I've seen.
