So I was gonna share some pics (for reasons which will become apparent if I ever manage to do so) from photobucket, but there are two snags: ONE: to get the code to share an IMG needs Flash, which most servers haves stopped using. and TWO: they apparently now require a paying account to share photos - an upgrade from free to $399.99 per year.
Well, you know where they can stick that after it's folded up to be all sharp corners.

Presumably this also means that any photos previously posted by me or other photobucket users don't work any more?

You can download them back to your computer. They remain your property.

They will also continue to be visible to other photobucket members. You just can't use them for third-party posting.

Yeah, I only really ever used it to post photos on here 'cos you can't upload direct except to your avatar.. As you'll see, I found somewhere else to do it.
