Depending on what you like, Hawaii or Maine, in my opinion. Personally, I like skiing, so I'd go up further north. But I have been to Hawaii too, and really loved it. I have some cousins out there who say that they would rather live on the "mainland", so I would say it could get pretty boring to live out there, with the tourists and all. Also, of course, Mass. would be a great place to live, home of the Red Sox. But don't live in CT, its boring.

As for the bison...

Just.. Don't go to pennsylvania. I've been to only a few states, but from what i've seen.. They're all alot cleaner than here. Philidelphia is like something out of hell. But thats just what i've seen of it.. There are two sides to every thing. My first time passing through Virginia was awful. Lots of confederate flags and garbage and run down houses.. However, my second trip through Virginia wasn't that bad, it was actually a really nice place. But anyway, my point is not to go to PA.. Or at least not the parts of PA i've been to.

Crawfordsville and Peoria are pretty nice.

Can I get a nice house with a quarter section or more there?

Denton, Texas or the surrounding areas.

What's up with making bison as part of the criteria?

They're delicious. I'll need to provide food for the family as an illegal imagrant that might not be able to work.

I'd like to avoid major military targety type places.

I hear Ohio smells. Though this must be a new development as it was fine when I stopped for fuel at the OSU airport.

Hey, I resemble that remark.

Anyways, sounds like you were out in eastern PA. I'm in Pittsburgh, and although I might be a little biased for living here all my life, it's much nicer out here. Not as historic, but I like it better.

If you want to make money, don't come to Michigan. Our economy is in the tank, thanks to our lying-to-get-reelected Canadian woman govenor, JenJen Taxholm.

So land is cheap?

Housing market is tanking, so houses are cheaper now than several years ago. Which affects me negatively, when trying to A) get work (I'm in the renovation-construction business) and B) rent my vacant rental home or C) SELL said vacant rental home.
