And yet, still can't get consensus within their own party to pass anything if significance.

If the entire West Virginia congressional delegation mysteriously died of food poisoning tomorrow, Jim West would have the power to appoint new members to Congress.
We're six months into the radical restructuring of the Republican Party into the Trumpist Party. The purges have only just begun.
