Conquer Club

In society & politics there are many single-issue groups which have their "pet" issues. They unite and make a little bit of noise for awhile, but usually their concerns are ignored. What strikes me as interesting is how serious they consider their cause. I'm not going to deny that there is some level of seriousness in the matters they bring up, but I'm not going to lose sleep over it either.

So anyway, here's one rather interesting group I found out here in California trying to effect driving laws (they've been getting some cable news coverage as well):

Yeah, I think they have a legitimate gripe, but it's not something that makes people so upset that they demand action from their representatives to change things. People usually just deal with it.

OK, I hope this falls in the category. These people are genuinely concerned about getting hit by cars, but I think they want to go further and make bicycles the normal mode of transportation within San Francisco.
