ban the necrobumper, don't erase history

What I want is for the admins and mods responsible for the deletion to come forward and simply explain their reasons.
If they think their reasons are valid they should be willing to defend them in public.

WE know in our hearts that the people who lash out at me, do so both from frustated anger and benumbing fear thatstem from the horrifying implications of where Truth's condemning finger points. Much as the dirty footprints of Watergate led all the way to the Oval Office, so too does the darkened pixels and reformatted memory of Forumgate lead all the way to the highest levels of worldly CC power.

This fact is not to be taken lightly, for if half the forum can disappear overnight then nobody and nothing is safe, not the forums, not GC, not the games, or points, or medals or walls, not even our very avatars and identity as players. A fcrazed and futile witchhunt is not the answer, and only calm and unified contemplation can lead us onward to find what the true solution may be.

Actually, the only theory that makes sense is what Duk suggested. The forums were trimmed as a desperate server-saving, cost-cutting measure by an unprofitable old site that's showing it's age.
