I hear in Canada/Britain there is like a 9 month wait for "non emergency" surgeries....

if you study economics you would quickly realise its not a ''free lunch'' you pay fot it through taxes. i think it is an excellent idea, just flawed. it allows anyone and everyone no matter what there employment status or level of wealth access to high quality healthcare, sure if u need some unimportant surgery u will be waiting, in the uk i waited nearly 2 years for an operation to remove a birthmark, it made no difference to me. the surgery that has to wait generally can wait and makes little difference to the people that have to wait.
