Why is it in Florida that the Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services handle all conceal and carry permits? Does this make any sense? Maybe this is why everything is so complicated in our current system.

They need agriculture experts to determine if that's a banana in your pocket or a gun.

As an outsider, Florida does seem a bit Mickey Mouse.

Basic logic. WTF happened to it? It obviously belongs in a different department. You know, the one that deals with guns.

It's the department that has authority over licencing. There is no Florida department of guns.
Does that help?

DNR maybe. They deal with guns smarty pants. Or maybe local police departments. Just because that department handles licensing doesn't mean it makes sense. By your logic a marriage license would be issued by that department. Does that help?

It's so they can determine if the gun is a plant or if you have a permit. DUH!

That's pretty awesome because then if a cop asks you, you can just say that you can't tell them unless they show their ministry of agriculture card.

Not really- marriage licenses seem like a bit of a different wheelhouse. Do you think local police departments would really have the logistics, or even the legal authority and expertise to grant a concealed carry licence that would withstand any degree of scrutiny?
I don't see your idea making much sense, practically.

In Minnesota the county sheriff department issues permits. So yes, in Minnesota it does hold up to scrutiny. So what's the difference between marriage and gun permits? If that particular department in Florida issues licenses then there should be no discrimination on any particular license. Logically speaking. I think I'm starting to understand what Bogan was saying to me in another thread now.

Florida is like Gaul, divided into three parts and each part must be conquered separately. (And then there is the Florida Keys which is a fourth part and has already tried to be separate.)

Because the only logical reason for owning a gun is for farming.
You knew this really.

I see no man. You could be anything. Attack the person's lack of playing games on a website designing for gameplay. Your a hamster wheel and I'm not getting on.
