Either way, Tanner's Internet usage has been curtailed. He's got a home computer, but his parents don't let him on the Web after 9 p.m. He's been using computers at the library during the day.

He's a moderator on an online gaming site, conquerclub.com, where he plays a game similar to the board game Risk.

 AK?

I thought he was older than that...

and jeez, if he has a car then he's probly older than me, but my parents "let" me go online until 11 PM, but even then I stay on as late as I want, they don't care so much

EDIT: the article says that he is 21...

and he lives with his parents... :-k

Actually, it was AK, and this is old. It was published on the 27th of February. But I love it! His mom doesn't let him on the computer after 9

your sig is way too big. Make it smaller before you are the first to be punished by AK's Might War Club.

If you can elude him by 9 pm, you will be safe, though

in addition, if the library did not like ak using the wifi after hours, why cant they simply just turn it off? it is free, after all, so whats the harm?

They normally do, but on the days he was on, it was left on for maintenance purposes.

they only rule ak has broken here is defying police when they told him not to come and use wifi again outside opening hours

This is kinda funny  - "He urges anyone with wireless networks to put the security functions in place."

Watch out, IC's about!

Im afraid Phobia thats quite an ignorant comment...It is regarded as theft as you would when stealing water or electricity.

Thegood thing is that it was a library coz no harm was done but how would you like it if someone started using your connection and slowing your band with down?????????

again it goes back to if the library was so bothered about it they should of made the effort to turn off the wifi access when closing.

if someone was using my bandwith i would put an encrypted key on my wireless access, but the libary cannot do that cos its free and available to all, and again it spirals back to the library turning it off after closing hours.

anyway im too tired now to debate, nighty night
