In an under reported (for obvious reasons; see below) a paperwork error sent Mother Teresa's soul to Hell.


Upon learning of the error the Throne of the India division which oversaw the rising of heavenly souls from the territory sent several Seraphim in a vain attempt to retrieve Mother Teresa's soul before it crossed the Gates of Hell. The Seraphim were unsuccessful and were obliterated by the Pit Fiends guarding the Infernal Gates.

The Throne in question was recalled by by a council of Dominions to explain how this horrible error could have come to pass. The Throne promptly blamed it all on some Seraphim that were out back behind a Cathedral smoking pot when Mother Teresa passed and in a severely stoned state merely smiled and chuckled as her soul was seized by demons and dragged down to Hell. Those Seraphims were punished with a note to file and mandatory drug rehab at which point they reportedly exclaimed- "Rehab!!!??? For smoking pot?" and burst into laughter though the overseeing Dominions were none too happy.

Several weeks passed with Archangels dodging questions about the state of Mother Teresa's soul until finally, 26 days after her death, Heaven admitted that her soul was lost and gone forever. A new Archangel was put in charge of the Guardian Angel division and new training classes were enacted to prevent another such travesty of divine justice from ever occurring again.

Satan was reached for comment about this incident and he said simply- "Her soul was delectable and succulent" and has offered no further comments or elaboration.

I guess making her a Saint was the least the Church could do for the epic fuckup that happened to her soul. God Bless Mother Teresa.
