I just read an article that this triumph of capitalism has more children get out and walk around than all of the hot air emitted by the White House under the First Lady in her exercise program.

Pokemon GO got more American kids off the sofa in 4 days than Michelle Obama’s 7 years of haranguing

After nearly seven years of whining, cajoling and haranguing from the First Lady and her “Let’s Move” program, American kids are just as obese as ever. According to a study highlighted by the Daily Caller, kids have pretty much ignored Michelle Obama’s command to get up and move:

Luckily, Christian saw the fear in my eyes and quickly explained that in Pokemon GO you get several Pokemon eggs that require an incubator. The incubation process only occurs when Pokemon GO registers a certain number of steps you take with the app active on your smartphone. And, no, you can’t cheat by driving. You have to walk.

So my son wanted to go walk 5K to hatch his egg.

A 3 mile walk has been inspired not by a government program. Not by congressional fiat. Not by Dear Leader’s command. Not by a PE teacher or even by the cajoling of a concerned parent. No. My son was inspired to walk 3 mile because he wanted to do it so he could complete a task in a game that he wanted to win.

My wife said, "You're mean laughing at those guys." Because I laughed as I read her the article about those guys falling off the cliffs in California.

You noticed my barbershop singing technique?

You seem like the person who emits a lot of cold air when you breathe. Just saying.

Hey, this isn't new. You should see all the people in NYC bumping into things as they text message while walking. Fortunately, NYC has guardrails, for the most part.

You have to go and chase them. Incense just brings them closer to you.

No, that''s not it at all. Michelle Obama is an excellent first lady, trying to make her country better, yet tzor basically calls her an air bag, which offends me.

I could dispute all of your points (except possibly the last, anything can easily offend you, it appears).

Michelle Obama is a pretty typical and average First Lady.

Michelle Obama is not trying to make the "country better." The only thing the country did that she thought was worthy of pride was when it elected her husband. She is trying to impose her vision and to some extent her revenge against the land and the people of the land she learned to hate and despise.

And I didn't call her an "air bag." I called her programs "hot air." Going back to my previous point and reminding you of the old expression "Socialism is for the People, not the Socialist," (Andrew Wilkow) Michelle's two daughters never had to endure the food requirements she proposed for everyone else, they never had to endure the exercise requirements she proposed for everyone else and so forth.

Michelle Obama’s ‘Let’s Move’ Is Really ‘Or I’ll Make You’

As we learn from Politico, Mrs. Obama was inspired to take on childhood obesity in part because of her own struggles to feed her family well: with both her and her husband working, “family dinners too often slipped into a rotation of fast food, microwaved frozen dinners and pizza,” and her daughters began to get fat. One is tempted to ask: why did she let this happen in the first place, and what does it have to do with a massive campaign spearheaded by the federal government?

As a friend put it: “Michelle apparently can’t work a crock pot, so she takes it out on everybody.”

This means Let’s Move! has a laudable goal—reducing childhood obesity and encouraging healthy eating in the United States—but it is, from the perspective of self-government and the essence of the American character, a stupid and imprudent program, detrimental to our national identity and a bad use of the already-gargantuan federal government. The entire charade is unbecoming of a free republic. Michelle Obama’s desire to “publicly shame” food corporations is repugnant, and so is the threat of regulatory retaliation for companies that do not get in line with the government’s own culinary whims.

This is not what our government was designed to do. It is not the birthright of the American citizenry to be nagged by a public busybody who can’t get over her own culinary and parenting failures.

Make half the grains you eat whole grains.
Choose fat-free or low-fat (1%) milk, yogurt, or cheese.
Drink water instead of sugary drinks.
Choose lean sources of protein.
Compare sodium in foods like soup and frozen meals and choose foods with less sodium.
Eat some seafood.
Pay attention to portion size.

Kids
1.Take your dog for a walk.
2.Start up a playground kickball game.
3.Join a sports team.
4.Go to the park with a friend.
5.Help your parents with yard work.
6.Play tag with kids in your neighborhood.
7.Ride your bike to school.
8.Walk to the store.
9.See how many jumping jacks you can do.
10.Race a friend to the end of the block.

Seems brutal...THANK GOD SHE OPTED THEM OUT! Too bad about the others.. I hope they lived good lives before these hardships were forced upon them
