I have been crying for Philando Castile and his family.
His right to bare arms was taken away.

So was his right to drive down the street.

(Not entirely sure if there is sarcasm there or if you are saying he was shot for having a gun etc.)

I can't watch the video. My understanding is he was pulled over. Asked for ID. He informed the officers he had a fire arm and a permit. He tried to get his wallet from his back pocket. One or more officers shot him in the arm. He lost too much blood, then his life.

I think the right to have a permitted firearm was his prior to this event.

Sarcasm? Maybe, but it's just not that simple anymore.

My buddy who rents from me got pulled over by that same officer 2 weeks ago. The officer said he pulled my friend over for a broken taillights. That was a lie.

As far as Philando goes he died for nothing. Tragic. The cops didn't even try to help him. Didn't even check for pulse. The cops were more worried about the officer than the victim. Bullshit.

Exactly. He moved his arms, for which he was shot.

Apparently a brother's not allowed to have a pair of working arms any more.

The cop should be charged with 1st degree murder.

Not going to defend the cop, think this was murder clearly. But I have to stress if you mention you have a firearm, keep your hands away from it and have your hands visible.

I thought the guy who just got shot already had his hands up in the air, and after being told to show the cop his driving license moved his hand to get it, at which point he was shot.

In the stories I have read, it was written, he stated, "I have a firearm and a permit." Hence my semi clever title.

I am Canadian yet I do feel I should be able to go out with a hand gun and shoot cans, paper targets and other things in the forest or a firing range. I also feel strongly that mr Castile had a right to carry his. Here is the complicated part, I wish it had not lead to his death. Silly me, I have also spent years wishing I could have a airplane.

Truth, and I will not defend Philandro going for his wallet.

The problem is I have cried actual tears several times today for this guy and some dead police officers in Dallas.

This also has ruined Chris Rocks excellent comedy video about how not to get your ass kicked by police.

I was thinking we could play a forum game:

If this was in America, at which point in the video would the driver have been violently subdued (and possibly, but not necessarily, shot)?

When I watched the video, all I could see was the guy bleeding out and going into shock. I commend the girlfriend for bringing the shooting into light but had she just pulled it out during the whole thing we might have a clearer picture. Until they release a dash cam, it might give us a better indication as of what transpired.

If he already had his hands raised and then was told to go for his license and registration, then yeah, the cop is definitely in the wrong.

Reminds me of this incident a few years back.

In the absence of video evidence to disprove any rumors, I'm going to say that I heard the policeman called the driver a 'brown motherfucker' right before he shot him.

Recently DDS visited my place and asked if he could crash on my couch. I was like "sure, bro." Then after a week I was like "bro, you keep eating all the Honey Bunches of Oats, are you gonna at least gimme gas money for hauling your broke ass to work everyday?" And he was like "who put the stick up your ass?" And I was like "bro, get out and go find another place to live," and he was like "make me."

Is this a violation of my 3rd Amendment rights?

Need some legal advice.

Bruh, you're just mad because I tried hooking you up with some ass and you're all like "Nah, dat shit smells like week ol' prune juice". And I'm like "Dude, you're like 85 years old, you can't be choosy about this shit"! And he's all like "If I stick my wobbly warhead in that thing she'll end up suckin me dry and I'll be dead, you really want that fam"? And I'm like "Yeah I won't need to pay fo shit"!

He's violating his own rights. Take away his man card.

I suspect that is very related. The US cop thinks, even though the guy is in clothes that would prevent concealing his gun, he just might have one.

Why did the guys in the UK claim to have drugs for most of the pranks. The U.K. police got a bit more serious handling the guy in the Guy Fawks mask with fireworks.

I found another story like that one and skimmed it.

Social media is starting to become like an episode of many of the reality tv shows, edits and omissions creating something that may not be quite what happened.

I am just concerned that my kids won't be able to enjoy the USA like I have.

Here is a link to the mirror

(I have no idea if that's a good or bad source it is just the first one I found) story about Mark Zuckerberg discussing the video with Pilando.
