Hey guys, I'm having a bit of trouble with iTunes. As the title explain, it is spontaneously opening, as in, it opens when I don't click on it. Are any of you guys wise enough with computers to help me with this?

Is it just when you boot up your computer, or is it at random times throughout the day?

My first suggestion would be to uninstall and reinstall it, then...
Otherwise, you may check and make sure you don't have a virus or some spyware...
I hate iTunes, and so never have installed it... Saves me the trouble.

I remember having this problem, but I couldn't be bothered to fix it so I just left it on
Maybe it is feeling a bit lonely?
It went away when all my stuff was deleted on my computer, so that could be Plan Z if all else fails

it's probably not random, there are lots of reasons it may open. It could be the default program for a bunch of different types of files, so look at the options.

Well I keep seeing it bounce at the bottom of my screen (I have a mac) literally every five minutes.

Do you have the speech recognition on? Are you opening files? Do you have it to open at login?
Actually, I have no idea what's wrong…

Yeah I remember this happening, couldn't be bothered to close it so I listened to it. It's a friendly reminder I wasn't listening to music.

I see it as the other way around - Mac is great but software if very limiting, Windows has great programs but are next to useless because the system is filled with holes.
