Yay!! Another pointless thread where people can talk about trivial details of their lives!!

I usually wake up around 9.

My alarm is set for 5:45am everyday I work, except Wednesdays.. then its 5am

I hate Wednesdays... Wednesdays suck... they make good sick days

Fishing on the other hand ...2am - 4am, (depending on the season)....that way we are 7Km out of Fremantle and on our spot for dawn.

Leave at 2 am .... boat in the water by 3:30am (after we all meet, and then negotiate with a Petrol Station operator that we wont rob him if he lets us in)... on the spot by 4:30-5... drop the lines and hang on WOO-HOO !!

Bigger question is how many times do you hit the snooze button? ... work 1-3 ... fishing.. NEVER !!

I have a series of 4 alarms which go from soft with luxurious snooze feature to shrill and militaristic.
They are always set in the order: astronomical twilight begin, nautical twilight begin, civil twilight begin and then sunrise. The sunrise one is only for hangover days.

Who the f*ck goes to sleep? I ain't got time to sleep!

I wake up around 7.30 every day, just not necessarily the 7.30 for the time zone I'm in.

I actually went through a four-week stretch recently where I was getting up at 5:30 every morning. I think that's the longest time in my entire life that I've gotten up at a consistent time. Now I'm back to nights this week.

I tend to work nights, but I get just enough day shifts to keep my circadian rhythm permanently fucked up. Then there's the winter, during which I'm on call 24/7 and getting woken up at nearly random hours.

I have an alarm clock that's dying. The outside temperature sensors failed years ago. Last year, the projection display became unreadable. For some reason I can't change the alarm (M-F) to save my life. It is set to 7:00 AM. Currently I'm getting up at 6:30, which means it goes off right when I hit the shower.

Eventually it shuts up on its own.

Do you live alone? There are few sounds I hate more than an alarm clock. I can hear it in a commercial in the middle of the day, and I go into insta-rage. I use my phone as my alarm just because it doesn't make that annoying alarm clock sound.

If I lived with you, I might commit murder. Probably by bashing the alarm clock into your head until you both stop making sounds. I'd probably regret it within 20 minutes, if it makes you feel any better. You, not the alarm clock. That thing must die.

Ignoring the obvious retort. If you lived with me, I'd probably have killed the clock by now. As it stands, the only other person get up either earlier than 7 AM or probably needs to get up by 7 AM. And it stops after about a minute.

It might mean banishment to the Coo Coo Clock Store.
