OK then, VG Cats, very funny comic website that parodies games, films and the like. But then I noticed something. Here is a typical example of one of the pages:

Now look again, this time
very closely at the page Aeris hold up.
Notice anything?

Well it means that the creator of VG Cats - Scott Ramsoomair - used this site at one point, under the name Aeris. Not to be confused with Aries BTW.

Also note that the comic is dated 2005, while CC was launched in 2006.

clearly states that the comic was drawn in 2004.

Try VGcats. You won't be dissapointed.
I've seen a lot of forums use the same skin. It's not CC because it looks like it.
