Anyone watch the democratic debate on univision i did and now i am posses

Bernie said something that caught my attention

So I looked into it and was sick at what I found

Military family members being deported and some of the military personel themselves at times, no official numbers on this. This is bullshit of the highest caliber
Deport criminals yes, deport soldiers or their family's that put their lives on the line for America no fucking way, especially when Syrian men and women are being allowed in who can't be vetted

Sure, for some service is a path to citizenship, or to be more precise, not all service people are already citizens.

There's a better explanation here:

I agree, but some pols really have a problem with immigrants. I think the Dream Act was meant to fix it, but I don't know. Too controversial.

Risk my best friend in the army Hector Horatio Hernandez was Puerto Rican, and served on the program that these soldiers are on, I lost contact with him after I left the military, and now i can't find him and nobody who knew him knows where he is. And it is unsettling to say the least.

And yes this is BULLSHIT.

I understand some have been deported for crimes some have not, the govt is moving heaven and hell to get el chappo turned over,
These guys wore the uniform and yet got less consideration than a known drug cartel leader
And that is BULLSHIT

I mean, the US makes it borderline impossible for most people to migrate there on any normal day. Why would working for the US army entitle one to migrate and stay there permanently?

it seems to me that if one is willing to risk his life for another country(or in this case, that particular country's MIC), he should be granted citizenship of said country, if that is his desire. seems fair to me.

Perhaps all foreign nationals who take up paid employment in the US could be given citizenship in return for the service they have given the nation.

I mean given the way everyone in America is armed to the teeth and just one redundancy away from a shooting spree I'd say anyone who goes to work in America is risking their life for the good of the nation.

Yeah, one got paid to risk their life for USG while wearing a little 'US Marine' badge, the other got paid to risk their life for USG while being a brown man.

-------Maybe he wasn't Puerto Rican....ALL PUERTO RICANS ARE U.S.CITIZENS...MOST AMERICANS DON'T KNOW THIS.........."JONES ACT of 1917"...UNITED STATES law dictates all Puerto Ricans born on the island are United States Citizens...My father was an officer in the army in Vietnam...40% of his men were from Malta.Who joined the army to become U.S.Citizens...When you take the oath to fight for the U.S...You are sworn in as a citizen. So this new fact is very sad. :( All most as sad as Americans spitting ,yelling murderer,America sucks, boo ,and throwing rotten eggs and tomatoes at my father when he returned home...YEAH,America. ConfederateSS.out!(The Blue and Silver Rebellion).
