------Well on Feb.20th a Shooter in Kalamazoo,MI....Killed six wounding 2...At 3 different times/locations. He drove people for a living. I guess the Pres. Race...over shadowed it nationally. It is getting better America. This time in between the 3 shootings. The shooter continued his job in driving people where they had to go. Well,there something you don't see everyday.Dedication ....It has been 2 and half months since the last big shooting. Two more until 1,000 big ones since 2012....ConfederateSS.out!(The Blue and Silver Rebellion).

When I was a cab driver I wanted to kill people all the time. All you deal with are the lowest of the low. All the proletarian garbage. Whores, small-time drug dealers, welfare trashbags, thieves, crackheads, child abusers, wife-beaters, puking drunks, "students" who seem to be majoring in debauchery, fat fucks who need your help carrying their groceries up to the third-floor landing and then think a twenty-cent tip covers it, bikers, Bloods, bartenders who brag about how they steal $300 from the cash register every night but do you think they'd spread the wealth and give you a decent tip? Not bloody likely. People constantly try to rip you off while accusing you of trying to rip THEM off, ha ha!
Yeah, you deal with a real river of human sewage when you drive cab, and it really poisons your attitude. Took me years after I stopped driving cab to start liking people again. I can see it sending someone around the bend. Surprised it doesn't happen more often, quite honestly.

Where did you drive the cab?
Mostly St. Catharines, a small city in this area. But all cities have the same river flowing through downtown.

Probably, but then it's perfectly legal to sell guns that are designed to kill a lot of people quickly, accurately and easily. So, huh, here we are. Guns don't kill people, taxi websites do.

ye right.... as much as I'm against guns: Uber clearly fucked up if they had a driver who received tons of complaints and didn't remove him from their approved drivers. I don't know how far legaly you can go with that, but in terms of customer service, I think it's bad press to keep psychos.

Yeah, I'll have to echo your sentiment. I never drove a taxi (I applied once but never got the job), but used to work in retail at a lower end store, and it's largely the same. People seem to treat store employees like shit simply because they're working and have to deal with it. I can't begin to count how many scumbags have tried to steal or scam their way out of the store, or how many people will just attack you personally for whatever reason. There's a large swath of the population that's uneducated, surly, rude, disgusting, selfish, often filthy, and more often than not lack but the simplest level of self-awareness.
After that job I went on to work with disabled people, and even with moderate to severe mental retardation and/or other diagnoses, I haven't encountered such malevolence again.
