Stand corrected....Waauw you get 5.5 months. Let's say November 1 thru April 15, give or take a day for Leap Year or some other astronomical whatever. Oh, wait a minute, that's not allowed, since February is for Blacks. Ok, March 1 to August 15.

Just remember you have to stay seated in the back of the bus when traveling with pure white blooded Whites, during White History Months.

Whites don't get any months. But that is a problem with our education system in general.

I firmly believe that the quality of education in history is horrible. On the other hand, I'm not sure you really want the real history of slaves and former slaves taught, and certainly not for an entire month. This would destroy the narrative that the party of slavery, the party of secession, the party of segregation has managed to impose upon the community of descendants of African slaves.

Let's consider the first elected black members of congress ...

It's not odd that they are all Republicans. The first black congressman from the Democratic party doesn't happen until 1935!

As for senators, the list is much smaller (due to there being less people in the senate)

The first senator from the Democratic party doesn't happen until 1993!

Somehow I have the feeling that this little bit of "history" isn't taught in "Black History Month." Having the Democrats in charge of Black History Month is like having the foxes in charge of educating the chickens.

Polish American Month? I live in a town with a significant polish community that has a fair every year and I've never heard of Polish American Month.

Polish American Month? I live in a town with a significant polish community that has a fair every year and I've never heard of Polish American Month.

yeah, you should maybe try to be more aware of your surroundings

It's funny you mention those because 4/5 weren't considered white until recently, circa the whole black history inauguration, with shitty treatment to boot. So there's that.
