... from the web
"Okay, so after some scouting around... this appears to be a legitimate sign-off... but the subliminal messages appear to be a hoax.
The "modified" sign-off apparently surfaced in late 2009, submitted to youtube by a user named naomi19631963. Naomi19631963 describes the video as
I salvaged this reel of film from a TV station that used to sign of with it during the 1960s.
Naomi19631963 doesn't say anything about the subliminals. We are lead to believe they didn't notice them, and simply stumbled upon a neat film reel, and uploaded it... and then the internet discovered that something was off... subliminal messages! Slow it down!
But... are we being trolled? I am not 100% sure... but I think we are, based on the username of the uploader: naomi19631963
That seems to be a reference to MKNAOMI (most are more familiar with MKULTRA).
MKULTRA and MKNAOMI are both subliminally referred to in the video.
So... did naomi19631963 really not know what was on the video, and the username is an incredible coincidence? Did they know but intentionally not mention the subliminal messages, and post on a username that refrenced the projects? Possible.
I think Naomi19631963 made a really good hoax video, and their username is the tiny piece of evidence left for those who look hard enough."
