Is it wrong to enjoy racist or sexist TV shows from the 60's?

The reason people still make new shows is because old ones like these suck ass.

Have you ever watched these?

I am sure that I'm watching them with a different viewpoint than you and some nostalgia.

*I'm guessing I'm older than you... 45yo here.
*When I was a kid, pre-cable, we had only 6-7 TV channels. During the day the main network channels (VHF) were all programming geared towards stay-at-home moms. The other local channels (UHF) would play reruns of old-time shows like these. On rainy days or sick days, this was the only real "entertainment" available to my generation.
*I'm American, these shows are all set in the USA and sometimes in the past. That enhances the nostalgic appeal.

I honestly think they hold-up compared to most of todays sitcoms.

They clearly aren't as deep as "Breaking Bad" and not as action-packed as "Daredevil". They can't hold a candle to "Game of Thrones" or "The Walking Dead". Sitcoms are supposed to be "light". These are just as good today's "fluffy crap".

My wife still sings the Green Acres song. I'm more of a Hawaii Five-O and Dragnet kind of guy, myself...:)

No, the reason people still make new shows is because they make money. Nothing wrong with the old shows, but dead actors and directors don't feel as much pressure to make money as living actors and directors do.
