RPI Men's Hockey Sweeps ASU

TROY, N.Y. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's hockey team scored an even strength, power play, shorthanded and empty net goal in defeating Arizona State University, 4-1, on Saturday at the Houston Field House. With the win, the Engineers improve to 10-6-3, while the Sun Devils drop to 5-10-0.

Current standings at the end of the fall semester are as follows

1st place: Quinnipiac
2nd place: Cornell
3rd place: Harvard / Rensselaer
5th place: St. Lawrence
6th place: Yale

as for the rest ... Clarkson still sucks at last place(12th).

And remember, Santa Claus is an R.P.I. Alumni ... who else would be wearing the school colors of RED and WHITE.

College hockey is great and all, but now we have a player in the NFL, so who even cares. I don't even care that he's a kicker, it's awesome.

I'm waiting for the Zamboni to come along and just scrape that post clean.

In the professional leagues where they have commercial breaks, sexy skaters with snow shovels come out to give the ice a dry scrape. Some also shoot T shirts out with large air guns. This is probably the only good reason to watch professional hockey at the arena as opposed to at home with the TV.
