At the risk of engaging where I may not want to be engaged, I don't think the stars and bars were removed to cure gun violence or mass shootings.

The stars and bars were removed because they are representative of slaveholding rebels from the 19th century who were summarily put down within 5 years by the full weight and authority of the United States government. Not only did they not stand a chance of succeeding due to the industrial might, technological capacity, and tolerance of the Union, they couldn't even get foreign governments to recognize them.

Because the Stars and Bars looked to much like the Stars and Stripes. The Stars and Bars is used by Texas. When describing the 6 flags of Texas. Not the Battle Flag. -------If you yell fire in a crowded place. Where there is no fire. Causing panic. That's not free speech. Because your encroaching on someone else's civil liberties. Just like those protesting the Vietnam War. Had a right to hold up signs. Yell,etc. But the minute they spit or threw things at the soldiers returning from war. They were no longer protected by free speech. They were violating the soldier's civil liberties.

Nobody is going to take your right to fly a Confederate flag or even a Nazi flag at your trailer home, nope. BUT, in Germany you can not fly the Nazi flag, cause they believe the flag is based on evil.




So, fly your flag before your association stops you. Devaluing the price of your neighbors trailer/home is not neighborly.

I will merely ask you to attempt to understand why the Republicans just blocked a law requiring some stricter gun control laws; a law which did not ban any guns. Think about why the Republicans voted against such a law. Otherwise, carry on.
