A rather quick search tells me that those are real houses. I have mixed feelings about this kind of architecture.
It looks kinda weird, because it's all the same. It automatically brings up a feeling of: I'm a number, not a person. I want to be unique, but I'm just another insignificant human being.
But these people at least have their own home. There are numerous kinds of apartment buildings around the world where you can hear your neighbours scratching their back. And let's not get started on the amount people around the world who aren't as lucky to possess a decent house.
Somehow, this picture raises a lot of moral questions; the ones I can't really answer.
