Ok guys and gals
Time for another pointless and boring thread from your friendly neighborhood Dariune.

How many of you, if any of you are artists?
By that i mean do you write poetry? or write songs? or draw? or whatever?

Im a songwriter and so i am making this thread for those of you who fancy sharing your art with likeminded people or just chatting about the varying different thoughts and processes that go into making a piece of art.

I will start, this is a song called Jaded Flashback. I wrote this when i was 18, so eight years ago.

Jaded Flashback

Sitting in my tower
Going back in time, then ill know
It’s where ill find my own path to where I have been before
When it’s getting harder
The rut im stuck in grows around my feet
Standing motionless, stuck in a trance of my own memory
Walking through the ruins
Of someone that I now know no more
Disappearing all I want is more to build back up again

Stagnation fear
A target for my own lifes score
A bleeding wound hungry for more
I cry out

When I find im not disowned I realise its not over
To see my self when not a clone I realise its not over

Flight is getting faster
Travelling through time and brakes don’t work
Its hard to keep old hurts, when new ones ease the pain
Headed for disaster
A jaded flash back fills up in my mind
Leaving me so close but still behind, im out of control again

Stagnation fear

A lazy wound hungry for more
I cry out

When a jaded flash back goes I realise that its over
When I travel paths that I chose I realise its not over

Sitting in my tower
Vision blurring when I take a step
So its hard to know which direction I am heading in
Looking in the mirror
Wondering just who stares back at me
Or if it can get free, the reflection will break
When im getting tired
Try to rest but time moves forward still
Leaning on the windowsill its my own prison bars

When the past is for the crows I think it might be over
When a new past tries to grow I know it can’t be over

That's good! I don't write songs, but I can play them on guitar and piano. Maybe I'll try that one on my guitar if that's okay with you..............

The most random of things. I started a few months ago (with the picture below). The only picture I have ATM on the computer is this W.I.P. of a picture I finished.

Well,I thought I'd give my 2 cents here.I used to write poems years ago,when I was a teenager.Most of them somewhat angry,sad,or bittersweet,I think.So,here's a couple of them.And mind you,english is not my native tongue.

but on the other hand i'm great at singing identical copies of artists songs, i like doing tribute concerts

Wow, i knew there would be some decent artists here hiding in the shadows.

The pic is fantastic, as is the song and poem.

In regards it has guitar written for it, i play guitar to:) But feel free to mess around with it.

When i have more time i might post another song, keep em coming guys (and gals would be nice too)

Top right of the first one theres some discoloration...you may want to fix it.

There's a kite in the background... I re-photoshopped that, and decided to see how it looked with the kite still there. I can see that someone else noticed, so I'll have to mess around with it a little next time I'm working in Photoshop. Thanks for the pointer, though.
