Eurovision Song Contest

Is anyone watching the Eurovision song contest. It never fails to amuse me. Things such as
Is the swedish entry a man or a woman?
and
Does every give UK nil points cos of our political stance?
and
I knew that's what all Germans were like!
Come up every year.

I never could decide what contest has less meaning: Eurovision (vote your neighbour) or Miss Universe (personaly, I think that the Q&A part of the contest is a lot more offensive towards women then the bikini competition. 'Specially considering the fact that the few girls who try to say something original don't aren't even allowed to win their National competition. :roll:

twinfists you beat me to it. i was going to post a thread about this pile of shite. it is so funny, i am on cc and my wife is watching eurovision. she calls me in when some group outrageous is on (like sweden, a man i think and france, weirdo in pink). have you seen britains entry, for fcksake, what a bag of shite scooch are. we will never ever win this again(then again who gives a shit). :twisted:

sure, it's shit, but you still watch it. It's made bearable by Wogan. If i didn't have exams to revise for i'd be having a Eurovision party, not as sad as it sounds before you lay into me. You have to drink a beer from the each nation as they sing, and if you can't find a beer from there, it's a spirit.

Eurovision is great fun by the way. It is a shame that on one of the few occasions when the countries of our continent come together - quality is not allowed to interfere. This, however, matters not. We don't watch Eurovision to be blown away by stunning compositions. No, we watch Eurovision because few things are as enjoyable as poking fun at our neighbours.
