Well, my favourite band there is GnR... But if I could choose any band it would have to be Iron Maiden (No surprises) or Trivium right now, as I'm going to see them live now... And they rule:)

Good choice. True musical pioneers, especially as they went from being a Bristol mainstay of the UK hip-hop underground to basically creating the whole genre of trip-hop. Not too many other bands can be credited with being the root of two incredably influential scenes

They should also be shot twice-over for being the root of two incredibly tarded scenes. ¬_¬

Or... not...

In what sense are either of those two scenes 'tarded', especially UK hip-hop (which I'll rep till I die, I'm afriad)

They're just really not my cup of tea. Punk, rock, punk rock, hard rock, soft rock, glam rock, indie, grunge, britpop, even a bit of psychedelic, all fine. Hip-hop, trip-hop, rap, dance, electro (and many more)... *vomits*

I selected Guns n' Roses although I am a bigger fan of Izzy Stradlin (former Guns guitarist/songwriter) and his solo work than I am off Guns n' Roses.

Thats fine, doesn't make them 'tarded' though... I'm not a huge fan of metal but I can recognise its good points. UK Hip-Hop is the true successor to punk in Britain today. Its the music of the people, and if you get in below the radio-friendly westwood bollocks much of it is truely political, inspired, intellegent, witty and it makes you move. The only genre of music present in Britain today which still holds true the tradition of protest music (except perhaps some modern folk).

I went with guns n roses for the drunken memories (although I'm not really a fan).

Should have gone with Nine Inch Nails, though, as he's got an amazing studio and the Johnny Cash cover of Hurt is beautiful.

Rolling Stones, but I do like Guns N Roses.

Slash is my boyfriend. So is Mick Jagger.
