One of my uncle's friends is suing Jiffy Lube because when they gave her car an oil change they didn't put the plug back into the car, so all the oil spilled out and she was stranded on the side of the highway when her engine seized.

Jiffy Lube sucks so hard.

wow, that happened to a friend of mine as well. She got a whole new engine out of it.. didn't have to sue at all though.

Sounds like it's better to go to Wal-Mart from those two examples... hahahaha

They pulled the classic "If you can prove that we did the oil change..." maneuver.

Good god, what hideous scammers! 5 out of 9 stations ripped them off. I wonder how many customers paid for nothing.

I had a different idea about what 'jiffy-lube' would be...

Anyway - seems to me like just another day at the garage where I work!

I guess I'm not the only sick bastard around here. I didn't have the courage to say it though lol.

I strongly beleive it's not only at that place...but in most places all over the world.

Funny you mention that. Last week my employer sent me to an advanced driving dynamics course. (very cool, slalom, ABS braking thru turns, skid pad, etc.)

One of the instructors was head of the design & development team for BF Goodrich. He said that Jiffy Lube now sucks the oil from the top of the motor now specifically because of that reason. It's happened A LOT.

Jiffy Lube sheared of one of the lugs on my wheels when they did the tire rotation. Never told me. Just put the hub cap back on to cover it up so I never saw it. Wasn't until I brought it to the dealer for a brake job that I found out about it.
Won't go to Jiffy Lube again....

Just because they got caught proves nothing, this happens every day...Its the problem with hiring so many lower class, or under educated workers. not that im attacking them I more than respect any working man/women. However there are less honest people in there bunch than the middle+ class citizen.

Much like a Jewish girlfriend. Which brings us neatly back to jiffy-lube, and the happy fact that they screw their customers. This is a great world.

most of the jiffy lubes have closed in connecticut. they are being replaced by some other blah blah lube place...

could it be the same place with a different name?
