I'd just like to take a minute to celebrate, the utter class and all round specialness, of Manchester United, who have just won their Ninth(!) Premiership trophy, more than any other team, ever. They overcame, a defensive injury crisis and came out top, better (clearly) than Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and all the other clubs in england. Oh, and we did this with only buying one player (the legendary Micheal Carrick), unlike the other clubs (naming none - Chelsea)..who in recent years have 'bought' the premiership. (and wasted money on old croons like shevchenko)

So, lets all join hands and celebrate the achievements of the best club, in the world...Manchester United!!!

Was over the moon yesterday! The irony is terrific - won on the weekend where United play away to City and Arsenal hand it to them at the Emirates by beating Chelsea. Then, to top it off, Chelsea will have to form a guard of honour at Stamford Bridge!

And the great season will roll on - the FA Cup to come too. Just a pity it wasn't another Treble winning year.

living in america im not sure wen the liverpool AC Milan game is? when is it and if it already is over WHo won??

it is at the end of may on a wednesday night (you can figure out the date) and i am on 2-10 so i will miss it. but i hope liverpool beat the hi ti. even though rene gattuso use to play for rangers.

That is actually one of the worst things I've ever heard. All of a sudden I absolutely hate you (having liked you alright even with you being a City fan). GFY! I will say but one thing: Manchester United 1 Manchester City 0 - you should be embarrassed to be a City fan. A new record - 10 goals at your home stadium all season - something to be really proud of. Also, United played terrible on Saturday - City were just a hell of a lot worse!

Oh and I'd figure that I'd let you know that I was a fan of them back before they tried to buy the premiership. Mainly back when Zola was playing.

Same! We were going so good this season and then we lost to Liverpool in penalties and now we drew with Arsenal. We were 1 man down and we managed to score and equaliser! And nearly won!

its no good, your just not a good enough team, your squad is dependant on three players, Cech, Terry and Lampard. Without those players you are nothing, as we saw when the first two got injured. I really want the FA to give us the trophy at stamford bridge, that would be great!

lmao!!! Defensive inhury crisis. For what, the last 3 games or so? You still got Heinze, Brown and many others. If you want a crisis, look at Newcastle. We had to play two 17 year olds, a 19 year old and a midfielder in defense!

well i am an arsenal fan myself (as you all well know) but as long as it isn't chelsea i am happy! by the way AC Milan is going to kick butt in the CL

So, how many trophies have City won over the years?

well we have won the league 2 times, the fa cup 4, the league cup 2 and the cup winners cup1. we have only won 1 trophy in my life time(76 the league cup), 4 months before i was born we won the cup winners cup and league cup (1970). i also know many more songs in reference to the air disaster, but as it upset you that much i will not bother posting them. oh and by the way i am only embarrassed by the way we play and not of being a city fan and what i have sang at matches.
