I'm a US citizen and I don't love Bush or hate Bush. I do believe he was the better choice of both Gore or Kerry.

That's about right, and there's a pretty good arguement around this forum somewhere that shows that people can not blame Bush exclusivly for whatever they want to pin on him

I'm not a US citizen (thank Jebus) and I must say Bush is a poor president, but I hate the current administration more than the man himself. I don't believe it's actually Bush himself who develops the policies - rather he is a puppet for the powerful big business lobbyists.

Good poll options though. I would predict that the US vote is split nearly 50-50 but the non-US vote will be more like 90% anti-bush. Probably to do with the present administrations foreign policy and their (lack of) climate change stance.

Also it varies in different areas of the US. I'd say more Bush-haters in US. But of course I live in California, close to a big city.

I watched An Inconvenient Truth for the first time last night, and it was also the first time I've seen Al Gore talk or lecture for any length of time (I'm not American.)

Now, I know it's a terrible thing that politics is so personality-led these days, to the detriment of arguing actual policies, but watching the lecture, I was surprised, as it made me think of how so many commentators could say in 2000 that the man was dull, and unable to relate to the electorate. He seemed passionate, articulate, and possibly a bona-fide intellectual.

So how could America possibly vote in that boneheaded, cringe-makingly inarticulate chump, Bush, instead? Twice?

I possibly should have read the whole thread through before responding.

Anyway, from the bolded/emboldened(?) part above, you sound as if you're talking about an old school-mate who went on to become a fairly successful sweeping-brush salesman. No, this man is the President of the USA, and when he makes "mistakes", hundreds of thousands of innocent people die because of them.

Ha, you're right there, but I suppose what I meant was, it amazes me that it was even close.

Definately hate. The mans a fool, and does no know what to do. He shudn take the whole blame, as the American way of politics is all wrong, and there is so much corruption from lobbyists and egotistic Americans that anyone who gets high enough in American politics has to be shite anyway. You should have changed the rules and let Clinton in for a 3rd term at least.

Whats more pathetic the fact that clinton was impeached for getting a blowjob or that Noone has even said Impeachment? relating to Bush?
