... I love news. Can't get enough of it. I wonder if anybody else here is into news, like me, but has nobody near who cares one wit for what's going on?
... Should this thread die an early death from lack of interest I'll just let it sink, but I thought I'd open a thread to swap news talk, should anybody else be interested.
... Feel free to post any news links folks might be interested in. I'll begin.
... April 6th.
New York City gives away 5 Million Condoms
Booze Banned for Easter in Venezuela - Folks are pissed
Washington Post bashes Pelosi Gaff
Obama Beats the Hell out of Hillary in early Fundraising
Swapping Porn, Japanese Military Leaks Top Secret Info
... Nothing especially hot today, but if anybody has a comment, or a good news link...
... cheers

BBC all the way. Just the best. TV news, radio and, in particular, online.

To a philosopher all news, as it is called, is gossip, and they who edit and read it are old women over their tea.
Henry David Thoreau
Em, that aside, I accumulate news from a lot of sources, mostly internet and newspapers, generally I don't pay much attention unless a topic interests me. Whenever I watch the news on the TV I get very angry with the way stories are covered. Always get the feeling a particular angle is advocated.

I get depressed by the news, so only watch for the stock market and the weather forecast.

That headline is confusing in British English. If booze is banned, how can everyone be pissed?

What politicians do these days for fundraising.
You really should post more of these headlines, Nobunaga.

I voted for internet. Here's my routine.
In the morning, I open my IE, the first homepage is CNN.com. I check my email, then go to Foxnews.com for more headlines. Then I read Detnews.com (Detroit News), mostly for Red Wings and UofM football stories, then Freep.com (Detroit Free Press), almost totally for Red Wings and UofM football stories. Then it's ESPN for more hockey news, the the rest of the morning is for Conquer Club. At work, it's the local sports talk radio until noon. From 12 until 5, I listen to Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. After 5, sports talk again. At home after work, I go through the national stories online, then ESPN, Foxsports, SI, and TSN (mostly for hockey), then CC and watching sports (hockey) in the evening. Since it's mostly online then, that's how I voted.
