Idea for mafia game

So I had this idea for a mafia game:

There are no townies. There are three families of mafia, A, B, and C. Each mafia family has five members: Three Goons and two spies. The spies are assigned to one of the other families (one A spy might be on B while the other will be on C). Each Goon knows who the Godfather is and knows who is on their team. They think that the spies are on their team (they are told by the mod that the spies are on their team). And they know that they are being spied on, but they do not know who the spies are in their family.

Obviously this causes some problems for the PMing. The spies think every goon in their 'team' is actually on their team, so they do not know who to give the information that they learn.

It might sound incredibly confusing, but before I give it a try I wanted to see what you guys thought.

How would days work?

Days and nights would still be the same. Each mafia family can kill once per night, and the 'town' can lynch one person per day. The voting process would get chaotic though.
