I do not believe anyone would ever have negative feelings for the wondrous friendship and support you have shown to people here at this site...

You have done more than anyone else I have seen on this site.

I salute you RD, not only for your generosity, but also for the way gave those Premiums without geting any kind of advertisment out of it. In the time when everyone has a "cause" wich they are supporting as long as the cameras (or their friends and neighbours) are waching, you have instead helped a few needy kids on a unsponsored web-site, without even telling us your real name. Respect!

Someone asked me to post on how it all got started so, here ya go.

My Uncle Benny.

Born in NYC Lower East Side in 1920, Abraham " Benny" Engelberg passed away in his sleep. a veteran of World War II and an engineer by trade.
Benny had no children but, left me in charge of disbursing a set amount of money so that i could give others some joy.

I also donated to a scholarship fund in memory of my nephew Luis who passed away in 2005.

my uncle leaves behind 2 siblings and several nephews and nieces.
he was a good person. I will miss him.

he had pulmonary problems. at the end he was attached to breathing tubes and, in the hospital. i'd go visit him every other week cause the drive is long.

It was before thanksgiving that he passed but, it has always been a tradition in my family that way before you pass on you are given what's yours so, i thought this was the best way.

he gave me the money back in Feb. 2006 when he was still okay.

he told me i needed a new car and to do whatever i wanted with the rest. so, i got a 2006 subaru outback and have been giving the rest away.

that's all. i believe in pay forward. a good deed done should be passed on.

What an amazing story

If one person could take something from this and pass it on to another person, and so on... like that movie "Pay It Forward"... the world would slowly but surely change for the better :)

P.S. Subaru's are the worst cars - when they break it costs a fortune to get the parts shipped in.

The name 'subaru' comes from the name of an Ethiopian concubine that capture the attention of the automaker. Don't trust that brand.
