Rock, paper, scissors

Postby everywhere116 on Tue Mar 13, 2007 7:13 pm

I am starting a Rock, Paper, Scissors game. The rules is thateveryone sends in a pm saying either rock, paper, or scissors on it. The majority eliminates thier weakness, so if rock has the majoity, then all scissors players are eliminated, and every sign so forth. Play continues until one is left.

Anyone who pms me with thier first choice in the next 15 minutes can play.

Feel free to talk in this thread to manipulate your opponants' choices. Or use the poll.

Ok. I have realized I am going way to fast. This game will be scrapped. I am starting another game with the same rules. The deadline will be 20 people or 3:00 PM EST tommorrow, which ever comes first.

I borrowed these rures from dagotbroomhead's old thread, and they clearly state that the majority topples its weakness. Rock is the majority's weakness.

Thats retarded. No matter how many scissors you have, you wont break a rock, no matter how much paper there is, you wont "hurt" a scissors with paper. Just thought i'd mention that.

Its the only way to solve a parodox. Although that only works if someone had played rock. I will consider it.

Always choose rock on the first throw. about 75% of people will throw scissors on the first throw by no fault of their own. When you play rock, paper, scissors, you always have to do the little ritualistic "rock, paper, scissors, shoot!" Unless they've thought about it prior to playing, most people decide at the very last second what their throw is going to be. Because of this, people generally tend to throw the thing that their brain thinks about, which was scissors.

If you don't give the person time to think about what they want to throw, and you just rush them into the game, I guarentee that it works about 90% of the time

I've seen this happen many times with my friends (I always go first when we play board games or basketball)
