Who was the best Bond? (and why)

You all know it's the original Bond. He is THE Bond. He was the best Bond before it got incredibly farfetched and wierd. I also love Moneypenny, and Q, and all those cool guys. It's just the best.

I think that you should accept the fact that you are a retard who doesn't like Bond.

Looks perfectly fair to me :?

Anyway. Connery is good but Moore is the quintessential Bond. He combines the classic one liner double entendres and the raised eyebrow moments. He plays the English gentleman bond perfectly. Imagine him fight a villain for his life, then coolly straighten his tie, brush off his sleeves and head back to shag his bird! Plus he's in the best Bond films as well.

Yes, but Bond has a slight edge to him, only Connery brought out the boyish mischief of Bond. Brosnan is a close second, Dalton/Moore are tied for third, and Lazenby is by far the absolute worst. I didn't see Casino Royale with Craig.

Sean Connery..best actor of them all, but held back by movie making of the time to a degree....good combination of humor and serious..probably the best

George Lazenby not enough to judge

Roger Moore...some of my favorite movies, only because of the timing...but not quite serious enough...but growing up... i liked him better than connery..but now i know better

Timothy Dalton..little too dark..and really didnt do a great job with the jokes

Pierce Brosnan...born to be bond...but had to wait too long to do it, would have been better if he could have started earlier...but he fits the part the best i think overall...

Daniel Craig...didnt see it, but bro informed me it was awesome...just not as much bond as i could have been...or i should say has been in the past

David Niven Pretty funny spoof..i only saw it a month or go or so...but as a parody...he loses all credibility

Sean Connery 8)

The best was the original

It's hard to argue against Sean Connery. I haven't seen the latest Bond movie, "Casino Royale". My friends told me that Daniel Craig was surprisingly good in it. They look forward to seeing him in more Bond movies.

For those of you who saw Daniel Craig, what did you think of his performance?

Obviously Sean. He was the original and only true bond. He also was the only one who did another Bond's movie after being replaced.

He was ace, he will be an excellent Bond in my opinion (as a huge bond fan). I've had a great respect for his acting in some of the other stuff I've seen him in also (esp. "Layer Cake") so I knew he'd be good. A big thing was made (over here) of the fact he's blond - I have no idea why this should preclude you to play Bond! People throw the phrase "more like the original Ian Fleming's Bond" about too much when referring to different actor’s portrayals of Bond - but I think he is definitely the most like the books type Bond.
Casino Royal: Great film, very dark and stripped back (no gadgets, camp villains, more realistic girls etc). If you love Texas hold 'em go and see it :) Its less of a "rollercoaster" action type film but it has some excellent fight scenes. More "real life" thriller style than previous Bonds.

I agree. I wasn't expecting a very good movie, but Casino Royale was amazing, and so was Craig

It was a good film, with a good direcor, and good actors... but I fall into he crwod that says a blonde Bond isn't right. Besides which I don't think the fight scenes were that amazing - there's lots of times, especially at the beginning, where Bond almost intentionally looks too fat to be a double 0, his chasing and fighting is nowhere near as good (or as stylish) as the othe guys.

I'd vote Sean Connery or Pierce Prosnan... but I can't decide which, so I won't vote.

connery has got to be the best. if he was in his prime now with all the specail effects he would be even better.
