Im from Sweden and I just whant to know what you guys know about Sweden. Sweden is often mixed up with other countries like Germany and Holland. Just write all you know about Sweden without looking it up on wikipedia first. I'm mostly intrested about what people in the US and other countries far from Sweden know.

One thing I know for sure about Sweden, it has something that neither Norway or Finland have: nice neighboring countries :P And that's all I need to know
Those who speak do not know,
Those who know will not speak ...
So I guess that means I don't know a thing!

- It's called Sverge (or something similar) in Swedish.
- The flag's blue with a yellow cross on it, the centre of the cross is to the left hand side of the flag itself.
- Olof Mellberg is the captain of Sweden's football team
- Stockholm is the capital
- Goteborg, Helsingborg and Malmo are also big cities there.
- Sweden has a king. I have no idea who that is though
- It isn't in the Euro yet. I'd take a guess that the currency is Krona, because that's what Denmark's currency is and you Scandinavians have no imagination when it comes to that sort of thing ;)
- It borders Finland and Norway
- I think it has a road bridge to Denmark, but I might be wrong
- Swedish people exist on a diet consisting entirely of meatballs. Probably.
- Ikea's from Sweden
- There's several islands off the west coast. Gotland is the only one I can think of right now.
- Lots of good electronic music comes from Sweden - eg Cari Lekebusch
- Abba are from Sweden too. As are The Cardigans.

That's about it.

Nice, you know what you are talking about, almost anyway. Gotland is on the east-coast. And yes, we have a bridge from Malmö(Sweden) to Copenhagen(Denmark).

Well it wasnt Carl Gustav XVI..... I admit I had to look up the name of the king imprisoned. I found out that it was Erik XIV and the year was 1571, and the person to put him there was his brother...... you swedes are so cruel

Suiza and Suecia are too similar. I mean, I obviously know the difference, but when speaking Spanish I'm much more likely to call one by the other's name than when speaking English.

Sweden is the richest country in Scandinavia! Don't worry, Norway will get their day.

Correcting some stuff that has been written...

The car is a Peugeot as someone already said. Sweden makes Saab and Volvo and Sweden is written Sverige in Swedish. Btw, Swedish girls are absolutely gorgeous...

Sweden is definitely not the richest country in Scandinavia. Norway is the richest by far...and you should know that Gavino. Norway has oil...in fact after Saudi Arabia and Russia, Norway produces the most oil in the world.

Wisse they don't speak only German in Switzerland! They speak German, French, Italian and Romansh depending on the canton you are in.

I know many things about Sweden but I don't want to bore you all. On a side note I would like to thank Sweden for some of my favourite bands like Europe and Roxette. I thank Sweden for being an example of democracy and social welfare for the whole world. I hope to visit your great country someday...if only it wasn't so damn expensive! ;)
