Fate/Destiny or just Coincidence?

I find this very odd. Since October of 2006, 4 people that I know have died and one other has been paralyzed from the waist down.

Now, I wonder if this is supposed to tell me something such as what my fate or destiny may be, or if it is just a coincidence.

Personally, I think it can't be a coincidence as a paralyzation and 4 deaths in 5 months seems a bit odd.

But if it is supposed to be telling me my fate or destiny, I don't know what it could be saying.

One thing I have noticed is that the older I get, the more bad things that happen around me... I think it is because you are older, friends are older, people are living dangerously or not being careful. Family members are aging and they start to get sick.

So, I don't know... I think it really could be coincidence... I believe in fate and predestination quite a bit, but... *shrug* Just a bad run of things?

Also, maybe it is THEIR karma that was coming into play, and not YOURS. Maybe you are just in their spheres and it is affecting you vicariously.

If I remember correctly, four of them have been in car crashes (3 of the 4 deaths), and the other died of natural causes (heart attack).

The death concerning the heart attack I'm not too worried about, but seeing how the other 4 were in car crashes seems to be too much to be a coincidence.

I'm not sure how old the one person was (it wouldn't surprise me if she was around 50), but the others were 39, late 20's/early 30's, and the other two were around 16-18.

Coincidence. I dont really believe in fate, because then whats the point of life if its not your own destiny?

Coincidence. Think for a moment, there's this Fate-guy (or abstract concept or whatever) sitting around somewhere (or everywhere) and he/she/it suddenly goes "let's give that guy some hints about what's to happen to him, let's have some people he knows die".

Nah, not very likely, is it?

And anyway, what's the difference between fate and destiny for you?

I always viewed that fate and destiny were similar to an extent.

However, fate is not set in stone as it can be changed and you can choose to not follow your destiny. At least, that's my opinion.

im a fate believer (not destiny, it sounds gay) because I'm just naturally lazy and if I think my life is controlled then I don't care

I'm usually a believer of coincidences, but every now and then a little something will pop up, and it will make me think and re-evaluate everything once more. And even if the interesting pop ups are just coincidences, it just makes me think the universe is even grander than I thought. ;)

When I win an escalating game, that was my destiny. When I lose, that's usually just because of a coincidental run of bad dice.

Fate, in the sense that we live in a determined universe... but probably not in the way you are thinking...

You mean like when someone necro bumps (cause) and gets banned as a result (effect)?

It's called... Vivobumping.
...and it is the wellspring of life and culture.

You degenerate rimjobbers are the ones that should be banned for using the n-word on these sacred fields of forum.
