Would you have made him man of the match if he hadn't just come back from such a long lay-off?
I would, no question. People in my office saying otherwise, though.
He scored 27 points, ran, tackled and passed like the prodigy he is. Harry Ellis also played brilliantly... but it had to be JW yes?

I grew up in Aberdeenshire... i remember meeting David Sole just after Scotland won the grand slam in 1990. It hurts me too, i played in scotland for years and I always support them. But i'm english by birth and Wilko is the best of english rugby - world-class, incredibly talented and a Nice Bloke.

To be honest, I was more impressed by the English scrum-half than by Wilkinson.
And, Wilkinson's try was no try. I can't believe the video ref awarded it, his knee clearly landed out of touch before he grounded the ball.
C'MON WALES!!!!!

I would have given it to Ellis. His team management was spectacular. he played as a world-class scrum half and kept the team together, as well as making some searing runs one of which gave Wilkinson his illegal Try). Wilkinson is a brilliant player and he kicked us to victory but I believe even with him the team would have fallen apart without Ellis. Plus he looks like Frodo Baggins. Interesting that the BBC commentary stated that all of them bar the man who mattered would have given Ellis the man of the match. Was a real shame he didn't get any points on the board himself.
