Short-Shorts

Hey gang, the mercury's really starting to climb up where ol' Saxi is at. Now that it's summer, and we've been dealing with a lot of SERIOUS topics on the boards, I thought it'd be fun if we all just got a little silly and traded our thoughts about summertime fun wear!

I'll start, 'k?

How short is too short if you're wearing short-shorts?

Ol' Saxi likes to saunter about town in his short-shorts because they're comfortable and they make me feel confident about who I am and confident with my body. Sometimes I'll be sauntering around in Golita, down by campus, with my cats (Old Tom II and Silly Lady II - I've mentioned them before, gang) and some of the UCSB kids will yell out "Hey Saxi! Nice legs!" LOL! They're just pulling ol' Saxi's chain - we get a great laugh out of it!

What kind of summertime fun wear does the gang like?

I usually wear this in the summertime:

I pretty much wear this wherever I go because it's so convenient and cool--cool in a cool attitude way and cool temperature-wise. While I'm purchasing my weekly commodities at the local Target, the folks throw a shit-fit about long lines and uncaring employees, so they take it out on me, but that's OK. I just lean back into my stride and think: Haters gonna hate.

Great summertime fun outfit, BBS! I've been looking for something like that lately, it looks like it moves with you. I like the potential versatility; you could wear it at work or play, perhaps even okay for just a relaxed, "cazsh" lunch at TGI Friday's or Bahama Breeze even?

Hey, any lame chain restaurant will do!

In fact, I've been known to use that very same outfit to pose for pictures for their ads. You might actually see my photo hanging up on the walls of any of those establishments.

Of course, I always make sure to throw down my International Solidarity for Fellow Anti-Capitalists hand sign whenever the opportunity presents itself!

I run 4 miles a day in a T and Basketball shorts. I live in a small town and there is an elderly lady who lives alone at the end of the street. Now that "the mercury is rising" she has been sitting out in her front yard with her old lady friends from around the county. A couple days ago one of them yelled "hey pretty Adonis" as I ran by... pretty weird, but...
Today they were out again and the same old lady yelled "nice package" and none of them laughed or anything. They just looked at me. I mean, they have to all be in their late 60s or greater. It really makes a guy uncomfortable, but confident. However, I'll definitely be keeping my shirt on as I run by.
Anyway, saw this thread and this seemed on topic. If anyone sees a runner, be sure to pay them a crude compliment too.

& I never really liked sandals though. Am I the only one?

ACK JB! Late '60's is younger than ol' Saxi! LMAO!

But I know what you mean. Sometimes some of my gent friends and I sit out on my porch with lemonade and sassafrass tea and remark on some of the sorority girls from UCSB who jog down the street. Of course, I'm good friends with all of them so they just giggle and roll their eyes, "that's just ol' Saxi!" they'll say! LOL!

This one time at band camp ( couldn't resist) I saw a chick that was wearing shorts so short that her tampon string could b seen It was so dam gross.

I like to wear tank tops and mid thigh shorts not to revealing but comfy none the less.
and flip flops with an ankle bracelet :mrgreen:

BBS, I know you're joshin' ol' Saxi because it's not called the "Anti-Capitalist Hand Sign" LOL!

I'm thinking maybe one on each ankle of my cats, Old Tom II and Silly Lady II. Either that or Stalin. But I'm not gonna rush into this one! LOL!

Well (true story) I have been considering getting either a potato tattoo on my arm or leg or a tattoo of a Unicorn Running on a Rainbow over my belly button. Maybe that will help? If you google tattoos you'll get lots of ideas.

However, what happened to Old Tom/Silly Lady 1? Would you like their tattoos?

I understand. Both of my ferrets passed on and my cat died from cancer last year. They were all a little too dark to consider as a tattoo though.
