Artificial, we use the same tree every year. I honestly don't know if that many people here in the UK actually use real trees, maybe someone else could correct me.

There is nothing like the real fresh smell of pine in the house! Of course you have to remember to water it every few days so it doesn't dry out and possibly start a fire. Not what I want to happen early Christmas morning in -40 temperatures.

Artificial. Don't have to worry about pine needles in the carpet. Though I do know of a few places in town that sell real ones.

Real! Come on, when else can you cut down a freaking tree and put it in your living room and have no one look at you funny? That alone should be worth it.

Plus, it smells all fresh and piney.

A real tree, definitely. The smell of the pine just makes the season.

Not only are you stupid, but you're dishonest too. Jay, you are a sad, hypocritical example of exactly what a Christian should NOT be.

Well done.

Be that as it may. I know what the true root of your problem is with me.(and BBS too) But I'll just sit back and let you guys make yourselves out as fools.

Oh, and you are a perfect example at what a decent human being should NOT be. ;)

Real tree.. have to agree that the smell and nostalgia are big reasons, although getting to see my sons reaction when we bring it home is the main reason..

Did festivus two years ago when the wife had the flu..
highly recommended - vomit really helps with getting you into that special festivus spirit.

Artificial.Itruly feel sorry that so many trees are cut doun just for ornament and after less than a month they end up in the trash

Yeah, but keep in mind that the trees that get cut down are bred to grow fast and small, are only 6-10 years old, and grown specifically for harvest in farms during the holiday season. Believe you me, I know the importance of preserving our natural resources, but it's not like it's irreplaceable old growth getting chopped down.

I love the smell of pine every morning for 2-3 months, until I have to sadly part ways with my friend. Off to the swamps you go, off fighting hurricanes.

JAY: Live up to Christ's teachings once in awhile. You're embarrassing to Christians.

Well at least you recognize it. Maybe there's hope for you not to burn in hell. Not much though, from what I've seen here in the fora.

I have no problem with BigBallinStalin. In fact, I consider his opinions generally to be very well thought-through.

As for you, I can tell you outright what my problem with you is. Your desire to wallow in ignorance.

A BRILLIANT example of a "neener neener", never mind explicitly making my point for me. Well done.

Artificial

1. The branches have a wire core so they can be bent and manipulated for better ornament placement.

2. No shedding and no watering and best of all no need to find a way to get rid of it after Christmas is over.

3. Lights are integrated into the tree and perfectly distributed.
