I do, rarely. Mostly because A) I can't find a decent server to stick with and B) I'm still mostly useless at the game and usually have a 1:5 kill to death ratio.

I use Hamachi, a great program that emulates a LAN network...
Since my counterstrike isn't the original, 90% of the servers are off-limits...

hamachi is one of the best programs, easy to use and works well. I usually play old games like quake 3 w/ my friends through hamachi
