You cant be serious... maybe you havent taken high school biology... A plant lacks a central nervous system and thus the ability to comprehend pain. Not even that thats the reason I dont eat meat.

Not at all.. i just didn't want to continue in a debate where you fail to see logic. Meat eating is unsustainable on the planet. End story

I do believe your the one who fails to see logic. Many people here have given several sound reasons why eating meat is helpful, and morally acceptable and all you've been able to do is spout the same response over and over again. Obviously Meat eating is sustainable on this planet, as long as we continue breeding and raising cows the way we are right now.

quick question -- do you think they way humans breed and raise cows in the way they do at the moment is humane or ethical? How about we raise you up on a cow ranch, pumped full of drugs, and then sent off to be slaughtered at 11 months old. And chickens, shit, they're treated worse. Anyone who buys caged eggs over free range eggs is an asshole.

and of course people will naturally stick up for their side. this is the internet and nothing bad will happen, so of course we'll stand up for ourselves. and why are you largely ignoring my arguments?
the same could be said that you're ignoring my arguments.. you didn't say a word about the amount of water used to produce one pound of beef compared to wheat or grain.
Also, when it comes down to it, diet is rather arbitrary -- i really don't care that much whether you eat meat or not. I'm not part of PETA or Animal Liberation or anything like that. I just choose to live my life inflicting the least amount of oppression possible. I say least because it's practically impossible short of making your own clothes and stuff.. everyone's shoes, tshirts, pants etc were all made in sweat shops (unless you made an effort to find something that specifically states 'sweatshop free') -- I'm just pointing my idea of vegetarianism and how by avoiding meat you instantly avoid a whole lot of massive evil corporations and they no longer get your money -- plus its more sustainable for the earth

There is no fresh water shortage. People are not starving globally whilst i shove pounds of factory farmed meat into my face. I can do nothing to assist in the plight of others less fortunate than I. I am a mindless robot and will consume anything said to be good by my lord, the TV.Also, when it comes down to it, diet is rather arbitrary -- i really don't care that much whether you eat meat or not. Dont bother bro. The internet is not the place to educate the unwilling. These people will argue 50 IQ points right outa yer head.

Yeah, your totally right, anyone that has a different opinion on an unprovable future event must be dumb. Sorry how wrong of us to debate...

I could say the same exact thing to you. Us "meat eaters" have brought up countless points in that we can continue to eat meat and continue to replenish that supply. Face it, if we didnt have the ability to domesticate animals for their meat, a majority of countries around the world would undergo starvation.Alot of countires have an inability to grow a harvest that would be able to feed their population because of their climate, and rely on meat sources. As i said before, go ahead and be vegeatrian, but dont come up with bullshit excuses like "we are hurting the cows" or "we'll run out of cows to eat" because when they're gone, there are still other animals we can eat. Be a vegeatrian because you dont want to eat meat, its that simple of a response.
