I don't think he's done a 180. More like a 45 or a 60. Slightly curtailed some of the the oil industry's power to degrade the environment, but not completely. Again, I think this will have more of an impact in the future than at present.

The German pipleline is a 180, but it has little to do with oil policy. It's more a 180 from Trump's policy of deliberately pissing off your European allies to trying to mend fences and rebuild those relationships.

By shutting down the Keystone XL pipeline, Biden cased oil futures to skyrocket which stressed the price of oil, leading to the sky-high prices now being experienced. He lacks even the most basic understanding of economics.

24 HOURS TO OBLIVION

The Taliban captured all of Logar province Saturday — just south of Kabul — and have reached the Char Asyab district, just 7 miles south of the Afghan capital, according to The Associated Press, which cited local lawmakers.

Once President Ghani flees or is executed (within the next 24 hours), the ANA will collapse and the Taliban will take Kabul in about 15 minutes. There is probably not enough time left to evacuate the remaining staff at the Biden Embassy. This is about to devolve into a hostage crisis or worse. Even Josh Rogin at the WaPo is warning the Biden Embassy staff are about to be seized as hostages due to Biden's senility and dementia.

CHAOS IN KABUL AS DEFENSES COLLAPSE! AMERICAN AND BRITISH DIPLOMATS FLEEING!

This will not end up like Saigon or Benghazi. Those were the best case scenarios. This will be Tehran '79 except livestreamed on Facebook.

Things are moving fast:

-American diplomats have abandoned the Biden Embassy and are now fleeing to the airport as a shelter of last resort. The White House is refusing to comment as President Biden is vacationing at Camp David, however, the UN have announced a catastrophe is imminent.
-British Ambassador Sir Laurie Bristow will be airlifted out of Kabul before downtown is overrun. The British will "try" to airlift out the rest of their embassy staff by tomorrow, however, if they're unable to do so, they will shelter at the airport where it's hoped the ANA will attempt to make a last stand.
- The only forces that remain under Afghan Government control is the 201st Corps (Presidential Guards) in the center of Kabul. The other six ANA corps have now either surrendered or disintegrated. The police are abandoning their posts.
- China has announced it is preparing to recognize the Taliban as the new government of Afghanistan. The Taliban media relations office says it is in advanced discussions with Indonesia to extend formal diplomatic recognition.

The Cavell Group adroitly notes that there is now a single point of failure ... if the airport is rendered inoperable, the only way left to escape for the Biden diplomats will be to fight their way 200 miles overland through the Khyber Pass ... the same route the British used to try to flee in 1842 when 15,000 of them were ambushed and massacred.

The situation has just gone from bad to worse in Kabul as a spontaneous pro-Taliban rebellion has broken out in advance of the Islamic Emirate's entrance into the city. The remnants of the Afghan Army have disintegrated. Soldiers are ripping off their uniforms and abandoning Kabul. Looting, chaos, street executions. Taliban mortars are almost in range of Kabul Airport, where desperate diplomats wait -- abandoned by Biden -- at a facility which is now defended by nothing but a small and lightly armed contingent of the Iowa National Guard. The whereabouts of President Ghani are unknown. Smoke is rising from the presidential palace.

Kabul Airport has one runway and there are rumors it was just rendered inoperable in a mortar strike. Inbound transports carrying U.S. troops are turning back as they no longer have a place to land. It's over.

The BBC are reporting the Taliban are now totally in control of Kabul which, like all cities before it, surrendered without resistance. No word on what's going to happen to Biden's 2,000 troops that were supposed to arrive in 12 hours to evacuate the American diplomats ... or the diplomats.



Some scenes of helicopters lifting Americans off the roof of the embassy, Saigon style ... no word on if the airport has been overrun or what happened to the American diplomats who were sheltering there. They may all be dead or captured now.

UPDATE: New reports say Taliban have not entered downtown. The Guardian reports that, prior to disintegrating, the Afghan government informed the people of downtown Kabul that it was transferring control to the U.S. military. President Ghani has fled to Tajikistan.

UPDATE 2: Taliban leader Mullah Baradar's private jet has arrived from Qatar, presumably so Mullah Baradar can formally receive control of the government.

Update: Ali Ahmad Jalali, an Afghan academic living in Europe and former Northern Alliance commander, has been invited to head a transitional government by the Taliban. The transitional government will prepare the population for the introduction of Sharia Law before turning power over to Mullah Baradar in 60 days.

Meanwhile, as many as 5,000 American personnel were unable to leave before Kabul fell. Biden is reportedly catatonic, completely paralyzed with indecision and cloistered at Camp David. Whomever is running the American government has said they are negotiating with the Taliban to ensure their safe exit. The Russian Embassy has offered to assist. The Biden regime appears increasingly perilous now, it's unclear how many more weeks or months it may last before it topples.

The airport, the last non Taliban area in the country, is now being attacked. The American (including the Ambassador and the flag), British and Canadian diplomats have retreated to the underground bunkers where they will make a last stand. Unclear how long they'll be able to hold out. The runway is reportedly out of commission now. No way out.

They learned that they can go live in the hills for 20 years, and an American construction crew will come in and build a bunch of highways and government buildings. Then, when construction is over, they can come back out of the hills and they'll have a bunch of brand new stuff.

No hope left for diplomats ... thousands of Afghan civilians have overwhelmed the Turkish and American troops trying to protect the perimeter of the airport and have swarmed onto the tarmac, all of them trying to climb aboard the handful of aircraft available.
