I'd like to start a discussion on necrobumping. I propose that in this particular forum, it's unnecessary to have a "no necrobumping" rule. This forum is essentially a spam forum, in that nothing posted here has anything to do with Conquer Club. There are already rules against being "intentionally annoying", so rules against necrobumping aren't necessary. But I'd like to get some mods to weigh in on this, and start an actual conversation.

You are right in principle, but wrong in your understanding of why the rule is necessary.

Nevermind the fact that necrobumping itself is 'illegal' or the ignorance of the reality necrobumping can be and usually is the best way to ANTI-SPAMMIFY this forum, let me make an analogy as for the real reason necrobumping is a bannable offense. It was created intentionally as a way to ban Phatscotty kind of along the same lines of the way the 'Al Capone' law was created. I had no idea the rule even existed before I got hit with a 90 day ban for it. And it wasn't even a bad necrobump, in fact it was totally innocent. I made a thread for 'Watchmen' simply out of gratitude and for the purpose of sharing. At the time it was explained that since nobody posted in over 90 days the thread was dead and should be allowed to die. As to why I was given no warning or why there was no announcement of a new rule, no answers came in reply in fact I got no replies to my tickets at all.

So, basically yes, instead of going with a thread that already existed and is pages full of relevant material and discussion, they want a second thread created on the same topic. Ironically, many others soon after made it a point to necrobump any thread that existed in the past to show the newer repeat thread the conversations had already taken place and before starting all over again with the 101 media programming mass target marketing of slogans they should carouse the old thread to see if their topic matter had already been addressed. Nobody got in trouble for any of that and soon after necrobumping was dropped as a bannable offense. Of course, this happened just after I came back from a 90 day ban. It was kind of fun to watch the reality though that it seemed like the powers of the time that were but no longer be actually brought back flaming giving all the same pro-life thread fights were happening all over again.

Don't believe me? I know it sounds a little pompous and self pretentious. But add in the fact that my other bannable offense was double posting.... yes, I said double posting. Nevermind it was 100% accidental and hurt nobody, my 'warning' again was skipped and that was my first ban. I'm glad the place changed since then but it seems in the ridiculously ironic reality that those who call themselves 'Liberals' or "Lefty's" or 'Progressives' and even 'Socialists' who are you know of course all about freedom and diversity did everything they could to prevent free speech from being heard and eventually destroyed those who spoke out against the new world order of Socialism. But the absolute and purposeful of vicious attacks from the left and the wildest flaming and trolling were deemed justified. Sounds kinda familiar...

This isn't about you. I can't take you seriously when you immediately say a rule is in place specifically for you. Whatever you wrote after that has been summarily dismissed.

Part of it is about him, sadly. He used to necrobump a bunch of threads by a poster, or get others to necrobump them, then complain that said poster was spamming in an attempt to get them banned.

It was understandably frowned upon by the mods.

So that's why he turns up complaining when this stuff gets discussed. The forum was briefly renamed "bumpage", he did it so much.
