I am sick of this whole liberals-liberty thing. Just had to get that off my chest.

Finally, some one who agrees with my opinion on NCLB. I really think it's been holding me back.

All I was saying is that's what I think he meant. Technically, I just feel this whole bush-gore deal is over and done with. Let it go and move on.

Personally though, I am really pissed at both parties right now. Maybe I'll just vote as an L.

I agree. The thing is, most liberals cant look past his accent or the big R by his name

Most liberal president my ass, spends money and gives tax cuts as irresponsible as Reagan. Sure liberals have deficit spent in the past, but Reagan has turned that into a Republican thing as lately. Has no respect for individual rights or civil liberties something that liberals have been all about ever since Liberal thought started in the 1800s with Locke and Mill. So NO, maybe that R does stand for the correct party. Additonally about the schools he hasn't done shit ton to help the schools, they've actually been hurt(thats a state responsibility anyways) and NCLB has only hurt the schools actually. Being a son of two teachers and a student and actually affected by his shitty education decisions i've only been affected negatively. Now the Republicans are trying to call him liberal so his shitty decisions wont hurt them like they did in the midterm elections. So don't be such a dumbass.

Oh and it's not the supreme court's job to recount it was their job to make the decision of who won the election, so technically the counting didnt matter.

Ok, I'm glad you posted this. I now know, when it comes to this thread, you have no idea what you're talking about, and I no longer have to pay attention to your posts. Thank you! :D

Wrong again, it wasn't their job to decide who won, nor is that what they ruled on.

Yes instead of going line for line and attempting to prove me wrong as I did for you(except I succeeded) you blindly blanket it with just a clain and no warrant or data..

Good job, jay would be proud.

Kyle, I hate to say this, but I'm with Serbia.

You spout off all of this anti-conservative rhetoric as if its fact, without even taking into account that you might be wrong on some points. Then you say that inanity about the Supreme Court: it is the duty of the Supreme Court to get involved when there is a court case to adjudicate.

Gore brought this to the Supreme Court, they said "Let the Recount begin!" and you're just rambling and not making any actual valid points.

During your entire diatribe all you did was speak in a phraseology that I assume is supposed to make you sound learned and aware but really just made you look like a completely fact-less goof.

Why does Serbia have to prove you wrong when you didn't prove anything in the first place?

You know, we disagree on a lot of things, but I think we agree on this one. All Kyle managed to do was make his own case look bad.

Barack Obama officially announced his candidacy today. Anyone notice, or care? Any thoughts on this?

My only opinion thus far is that his name is fucking awesome.

"Who are you?"
"Barack Obama!"

Sounds like the name of a Jedi master or some ancient warrior of high renown.

Mitt Romney made official his intentions to run for the Presidency today in Dearborn, MI. Romney, former governor of Massachusetts, was born in Michigan, where his father was a three term governor. For me, as a Republican, I currently like either Romney or Giuliani, but it's still early for me to make a call.

Anyone else with thoughts?

As long as no liberal gets in, I'm good. (That all but eliminates the entire Democratic Party)

"Those who would give up some Liberty, to purchase a little Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."..... Benjamin Franklin

If we use the modern interpretation of this quote, old Ben would be against traffic lights and helmet laws.
I know if he were around today, he'd see the wisdom of the Patriot Act and racial profileing, He wasnt a limp wrist like half the Americans today.

If we must denigrate people by describing them as "limp-wristed", then I would say the only "limp-wristed" people around today are those who want intrusive things like the Patriot Act and racial profiling - to give them a wholly false sense of safety, while sacrificing their liberty.

Oh, and welcome back, ksslemp, long time no see..

I'm against helmet laws... if a biker wants to risk splattering his brains over the highway, well, they're his brains. Brains and blood aren't impossible to clean up, and if there is any residue left, the rains will wash whatever is left away. \:D/
