If I take my own money and open up a bar, who the hell is the govornment to tell me I can't allow smoking? Its my buisness! I'd be happy to put a sign on the door which states " THIS IS A SMOKER FRIENDLY ESTABLISHMENT. IF THIS OFFENDS YOU, PLEASE GO SOMEPLACE ELSE AND DRINK".

Now I personnaly don't drink nor would I ever want to own a bar. But I defend any man's right to open one and for HIM to decide to allow smoking or not!

btw... there are no laws (federal) against gay marriage. Its a marriage between a man and woman.... the gay activists are the ones tring to CHANGE the existing laws.

And there are no laws restricting abortion.... and if there is (as in partial birth) its way to easy to get around them. People will break the law for the love of money.

First of all you are misinformed. Pot is far more dangerouse than cigarrettes.

Pot slows down your reflexes/reaction time (not good while driving)

Pot kills brain cells (ever talk to a "pothead"? They speak slower than normal)

And it causes cancer

So does alcohol.

Pot kills brain cells (ever talk to a "pothead"? They speak slower than normal)

So does alcohol, plus alcohol hardens your liver

And it causes cancer

So does smoking cigarettes.

I fail to see how Pot is so evil.

I'd tell them it is a smoking bar in the interviews. They don't HAVE to work there.

Killing yourself with ciggarettes, screwing up your liver/life with booze - that's all fine. Anyone who says otherwise is a damned interfering liberal trying to nanny everyone.

Not killing yourself with pot - evil.

Actually people who smoke pot are at less risk for cancer, sure it could cause it being smoke and all, but no more than farmers who burn fields etc... my aunt has worked on many patients as a nurse and she prefers a pot smoker over a cigarette smoker or an alcoholic.

<BUZZZZ!> Thanks for playing!

Please state your sources, Mr. Knowledge.

Nicotine is one of the most addictive substances known to man. Marijuana is not physically addictive and since it is smoked in MUCH smaller amounts (Marijuana users do not smoke dozens of joints per day) to say that it is "far more dangerouse (sic)" is ludicrous.

Below, note that Alcohol is #1 twice and Nicotine is the hardest to kick...worse than Heroin. Also note Marijuana is dead last. Think about this when drinking your holiday beverages.

They are ranked in order of dependency.

Yes, and if marijuana was legalized it would be a crime to smoke pot and drive (it would fall under the statue of "driving while intoxicated"). People fucked up on prescription medication also get caught DWI.

Besides, let's ask the question:

You're at a ball game, some guy's loud and trying to start a fight, is he drunk or is he smoking pot?

I work at a drug and alcohol rehabilitaion campus. POT is physically addictive. Although less addivive than nicotine it is still addictive. POT is INTOXICATING and nicotine isn't. POT kills brain cells at a MUCH greater rate than cigarrette smoking. POT should remain illegal.

And if you think Nicotine is "one of the most addictive substances known to man"...you might wanna take a few hits off of a crack pipe.

Wow, alcohol does all of that too. Shall we ban alcohol?

We all know how that turned out the first time 'round, but maybe it will work this time!

So you work at a rehabilitation campus...and that is a basis for saying that pot is addictive. Nice supporting evidence you got there.

Evidently you dont have any actual physicians at your "campus". It is common knowledge in the rehab and medical community that marijuana or "POT" as you wish to proclaim is NOT physically addictive. Habit forming, sure, so is Coffee....but NOT physically.

You DO NOT get withdrawal, the "shakes", DT's, cold sweats, agressive or aggitated, etc, like Cocaine, Heroin, Crack or NICOTINE.

Ask any medical doctor or better yet, ANY "pot" smoker.

jay_a2j wrote:POT is INTOXICATING and nicotine isn't.

Right.....Nicotine isnt intoxicating. Nicotine drug addicts get nothing from their drug of choice...they just like holding onto something.

Tell me then...WHY do people smoke? Please. It is very intoxicating ("relaxing" is the term I hear the most) or people wouldnt smoke at all.

Again, common sense jay. Buy some.

Full Disclosure: Jay is hopelessly addicted to this drug, so his opinions are biased.

jay_a2j wrote:POT kills brain cells at a MUCH greater rate than cigarrette smoking.

Bullshit.

Prove it. Prove how a pack a day addict like yourself has more brain cells at the end of the day than a single joint-smoker.

Sources please again. PROVE your "much greater rate".

Like the many times before, you have none and will not respond.

jay_a2j wrote:POT should remain illegal.

Perhaps...but to claim that it is "far worse" then alcohol or nicotine is just assinine.

On a side note...am I the only one who finds it funny and a bit ironic that jay who is "addicted to jesus" (a2j) works at a rehab center? Maybe as a fringe benefit they can help you out with both your addictions!

hehe

I have just been reading a couple of very interesting articles that suggest that jesus was a stoner. And OK the first was published in High Times, presumably as a bit of research-based mischief, but it got picked up by the Sunday Times (very reputable English daily newspaper) and looked into. The Boston University historian who looked it into it agreed that it was probably the case that jesus and his followers used cannabis:

"The word Christ does mean "the anointed one" and Bennett contends that Christ was anointed with chrism, a cannabis-based oil, that caused his spiritual visions. The ancient recipe for this oil, recorded in Exodus, included over 9lb of flowering cannabis tops (known as kaneh-bosem in Hebrew), extracted into a hin (about 11
