Lucky... I once had 3 tornadoes around my house at once (within a 5-mile radius). Did a little more than picking up a couple rocks.

We had to stop in Terre Haute, Indiana (seeing family) when a tornado touched down near to the town. That was not my first one, but still it was something I don’t deal with that much (that is with my house on the plains of Colorado, near Falcon, Colorado).

Yeah... but living in Tornado Alley makes life more interesting.

Just yesterday we had a tornado watch... again...

I'm glad I live in a country where the 2nd amendment does not exist, and no gun culture flourishes at all, and my views are very much in the overwhelming majority. The gun murder rate in my country is <100 a year.

On the other hand, you live in a country where gun murders exceed 15,000 a year, and accidental gun deaths are also in the thousands every year. Also, given that US population is only 5x the UK population, the disparity in figures clearly has nothing to do with the populations of your and my countries.

I'd say that in a country of 60,000,000 people, <100 gun murders a year is very low, and stands comparison with most of the rest of the world.

Let me multiply that by the difference between US and UK population:

100 x 5 = 500

Actual gun murder each year in USA > 15,000

Looking at the page, it's very black and white. Thinking either the people have all the guns or the gov't does. Wrong. Only a few privileged citizens should have weapons. They should not be available at the level they are now, otherwise shit like VT happens.
