All of those guys look like blue collar workers, why would they need to know half of that stuff? They aren't going to run for president.

Really? Then explain to me how Bush got elected twice, if we are not truly a nation of morons. "All Americans are not like this", but i'd say it's clear that they're in the majority.

hahaha you think John Kerry would have been better for 04? lmao'

I bet you get your news from these guys

And by the way that selective interviewing video is so far from the truth its not even funny.. Anyone that watches a video like that and says wow Americans sure are stupid clearly is out of touch from reality..

I'm sure the reporter found some very intelligent people on the streets, but remember he controls the video, he edits out the smart answers and he does everything he can to make everyone look stupid.

and you know what I bet most of us in CC would answer stupidly if we were asked on the street. Not these questions but different questions at a similar level. I think we would all get some wrong. Yes I know you're smart, you have a good education, you're a Lieutenant (sp?) but its not how smart you are its how well you can control yourself. When you're walking down the street minding your own business, you're with friends or whatever and some englishman comes out and asks you some questions, you feel special, it messes with your head.

Also you are out on the street and not at school, you have something to do other than schoolwork and this englishman comes out of nowhere and starts drilling you for answers to questions you did not expect to answer that day. Why should you be expected to bring your brain everywhere you go?

Lol John Kerry was just a carbon copy of Bush... instead of stopping the Iraq War, he pledged to get more countries into it (the presidential debate). The problem with the '04 Democratic candidate was that John Kerry flipflopped, didn't know the issues, and couldn't make up his mind. That's why Bush won, not because Americans are "stupid".

*shrugs* i'm not gonna turn this into a political debate...in truth, we never should have had Bush as a president to begin with. His reaction to 9/11 is what got us in the mess in the first place. Second of all, for the second presidential election, I knew that Kerry couldn't stop the war. No one can stop the war in Iraq...we have to finish this now. The difference is their plans to get this war over with, so that we can pull out. I liked Kerry's better...

but whatever, i don't want this to be a political debate...

Yeah, this year should be interesting.

As for Connecticut, it has a good school system. Damn good. If it was a woman, it would be the chick from Desperate Housewives.
