I don’t know (or care) if you’re a bad person.
I do think you are a ‘sad’ person.

Not sad in the sense that you are always down... sad in the sense that you’ve apparently (by your own admission) pretty much wasted your life.

Your handle shouldn’t be “what, me worry?”... that’s too ironic. Perhaps you’d be better off if you had worried about a few things.

Cool. I got no problem with private philanthropy.

Good... save away. I also have no problem with limited public assistance.
The problem I have with tax-payer funded charity is when recipients over time begin to count on it and then eventually get to the point where it becomes a “Right”.

How are you saving money if you don’t have a job?

Are your internet access and whatever device you use to access this site also free?

How are you saving money if you’re buying Magic Mushrooms and THC edibles?
Last I looked this stuff wasn’t cheap.

Unless you have a contract there’s no such thing as a guaranteed job.

what,me worry? wrote:4. I'll be off most of aid once I get the job

Most? Why not all?

Don’t answer that.

I do understand/recognize that most low-skill jobs don’t provide a living wage, and this is something we as a society should come to grips with.

That said, the reason you are. in this position is because you have, by your own admission, wasted your life on drugs.

I’m glad if you are truly getting straight, but half the time you post here you are rambling and incoherent... and even when coherent you’ve admitted you’re not planning to stop all drug use, just the “really bad ones”?

With your logic, I should never sleep or sit down. There needs to be a reasonable amount of leisure and rest as this fulfills my spheres of wellness. Look that up

6. Conquer club allows me to spend time fullfilling my intellectual sphere of wellness as I play for free with my downtown while I save money.y account was paid for out of the kindness of someone's heart which I believe we should give back to others in some type of way

Obviously sleep is necessary. Leisure is not. Especially for a limited amount of time leisure can be withheld and you can take pleasure in other things, accomplishments or activities that benefit oneself. Playing a few games here on CC won‘t hurt you... but coming into this forum might. Especially if you make posts that encourage people like Nomad to attack you.

This forum was at one point several years ago a fun ‘intellectual’ exercise... now it’s just a waste of time and of very little value. I honestly can’t explain why I still click the link (addiction?)...

You can find leisure in books that you can get for free at the library... and reading these would actually benefit you.

what,me worry? wrote:And incidentally, it actually costs more money for people to not be housed and on government aid

The cost of the economy created around unserviced/unhoused homeless people is greater than offering them services to get them out of homelesnesd or jail

Police, EMT, waste management, etc etc is much more taxing than offering a helping hand to humanity

This is baloney.

You know what costs society less?
People actually contributing to it and not LETTING themselves fall into the drug-addiction wasteland in the first place.

This is liberal propaganda.

People are homeless for many different reasons... some of which I have sympathy for and some I don’t. I am fine with limited public assistance that offer people opportunities to get off the streets. I have no patience for people who abuse the system. I also fear that by offering assistance we encourage others to make bad decisions because they come to believe that Uncle Sam will ultimately take care of them.

There are certainly people who are homeless because of severe mental disorders... and there are some who’ve been born into bad situations and have had bad luck and no family support system to help them. That said, it’s my belief that many homeless people have found themselves on the street through a SERIES OF POOR / BAD DECISIONS OVER TIME.... not one bad decision, multiple bad decisions repeated over time.

... and by bad decisions I don’t mean things like stopping at McDonalds for dinner instead of waiting to eat something better at home. I mean taking drugs, skipping school, quitting a job without a plan, hanging out with people they know are bad influences, etc. Why should I have sympathy for people who’ve continued to make bad decision after bad decision?

like I said.. move.. reset your life WMW.. obviously Ca isn't working..
after you accomplish that.. then move back to San Fransisco in a year or 2.. or go forward with life somewhere else...
grow up.. quit acting like a child who cannot quit doing " non-addictive" drugs... and become something better.
only thing being homeless in California will get you is a disease..

Cheap or free leisure keeps me out of trouble like, drinking or using marijuana or dating.

Rest and relaxation is essential to be productive

When its time to work hard, I work hard. When the hard work is done, I engage in cheap or free leisure

I'm done with these dishonest conversations, prick

Cheap or free leisure is fine... but you also talk about continuing to use drugs. So...

Rest (i.e. sleep) is necessary... ‘relaxation’ is not, entertainment is not a requirement.

The truth hurts.

The truth is hard.

You gotta accept it and acknowledge it before you can truly put your mistakes behind you.

Maybe you do acknowledge it in your meetings... but your comments here are not an acknowledgement.

I just used little rock as a reference to "Anywhere USA"...
millions of people are trying to make it in California.. the percentage of them who don't or can't & are homeless is ridiculous. they are literally dying of the plague... Los Angeles Skid Row for example is 65 square city blocks..

living in a cheaper city / state for 1-2 years & resetting your life is the only intelligent thing to do.. wherever that place is.. .. a better life is just a $150 some odd bus ticket away...

forcing whatever friends or family you have into constantly worrying about you being homeless just because you are choosing to be homeless in San Francisco is kinda self-centered & selfish.. stress kills..
a 32 year old .. MAN can make it life very easily in a guesstimate of 95% of the rest of the country working even a minimum wage job.. it happens daily

oh geez.. I don't think you actually know what a SJW is Snookie… SJW's encourage equality.. even for the homeless drug using part of society.... which is what you are doing. .genius..

of course I am judgmental & preachy,,,, I have every right to be...

see WMW tried to attack me the other day saying I had daddy-issues... but in actuality.. America is currently WMW's dad.. we, the Tax Paying part of Society, are picking up his tab via our Tax Dollars .. paying for all of this Aid & shelter he is receiving because he is homeless.. while doing drugs..

apparently his real dad never taught him the perils of doing drugs. now he is sucking the tax payers nipple getting help while spending his " hard earned money '" on drugs...

baby him all you want . .I have absolutely zero compassion for someone taking American tax dollar help while spending their money on drugs

I, on the other hand, have lots of compassion for them.

When your life is in the shitter, drugs are often the only thing that blunts the pain.

I know it's difficult for people who are not in pain to comprehend. Most drug addicts are people self-medicating for depression that comes from extrinsic sources.

It's an equation

People who are on drugs, commit crime, homeless, and not receiving services while not taking steps to improve their lives cost the most amount of money

People who are on drugs, commiting crime, homeless, and receiving services take less amount of money

People who are on drugs, not commiting crime, homeless, and receiving services are next

People who are on drugs, not committing crime, are housed in a shelter, and receiving services are next

People who are not on drugs, not committing crime, and are housed in a shelter while receiving services are next

People who are not on drugs, not commiting crime, their own place, while receiving services are next

People who are not on drugs, not commiting crime, have their own place, and are not on social services take the least amount of money

Paying taxes is somewhere in there. The cost of jailing people, psych warding people, cost to individuals who are victims of crime, fire fighters responding to medical emergencies, and cost of waste management cost more than the first tired that I posted

So, Nomad Patriot... you're ignorant and this is a part of growing up

I stayed at a shelter with gang members who smoked meth in the showers, shot heroin the bathroom, smoked crack in tents outside the shelter, stole from each other, ran prostitutes out of the shelter, committed crimes outside to get drugs money while on welfare, etc costs less than putting than....The cost of jailing people, psych warding people, cost to individuals who are victims of crime, fire fighters responding to medical emergencies, and cost of waste management cost more than the first tired that I posted

So, instead of judging people, we should work with philanthropic societies who aim to move these populations from the top tier to being a productive member of society.

no clue what drugs you were on when you wrote that equation dribble..

life is easy,, don't do drugs, don't commit crimes & be a productive member of society. .
if it doesn't work in the city or state you are in.. move somewhere it will..

it's nice some Canadian has compassion for you since he isn't paying for it.. lefty's typical take that stance...

I do not do drugs, own my own house , run my own business & pay my taxes.. 5 years ago I tried moving to Denver.. after it didn't work as planned, I had $20 in my pocket and my dad's pick-up truck's worth of possessions, no job, no way to pay my bills... I hit the bottom.. had nothing...
so I moved to a smaller city..
I got a 2 jobs that week 1 washing dishes for minimum wage, and 1 at a temp agency as a banquet server, pumped out 75 hours a week working both jobs & slept on a co-workers couch for 3 weeks.. by week 4 I had enough to get an apartment..
got an apartment.. I gave my new friend $500 at the end of the next month as payment for letting me crash on his couch..
the rest is history..
didn't waste my time in forums online crying , didn't spend my money on recreational drugs, & didn't suck the tax payer nipple

grow up.. it's what men do..

didn't waste my time in forums online crying , didn't spend my money on recreational drugs, & didn't suck the tax payer nipple

grow up.. it's what men do..
